Your Favorite Audio Player?

What is yours? I'm trying to find something for windows that can compete with Rhythmbox for linux, but have yet to find anything as good. I'm using winamp now that, and that should suffice.

New winamp isn't too bad. I honestly just use windows explorer.

i have been using Winamp since mid 90s.

Foobar I guessss :\ was never a big fan of spending more time on a media player than a linux distro.

More time doing what, setting it up? It took me about an hour to get Foobar2000 configured in a way that I was mostly-happy with (tried a few "Quick Setup" themes, then made a few manual adjustments). An equivalent adjustment of Winamp would have required me to learn to make my own skins, which would have been really painful.

New winamp isn't too bad. I honestly just use windows explorer.

Windows Explorer is not a media player. If you are saying that you use Explorer to pick files to play, then I would say that I used to do that, and it does not scale well at all.

Media Monkey handles my 100gb collection quite nicely.

Winamp, and WMP are too clunky;

I have not tried foobar2000, but why switch if MM is treating me so well?

Zune. I used to be a foobar2000 fan, but I've grown to really like the Zune software.

I might add in however, that if the Zune software didn't get the toolbar player compatibility by the last big update, I would have thrown my Zune against a wall.

MediaMonkey. It has organization, batch ID3 fixing, ripping, burning, everything. I've been using the paid version for a long time, and I don't regret it one bit.

I'm referring to out of the box playing. Foobar is a little too simplistic for what i want, but its been several years since i tried it, admittedly. At the time, virtually all the plugins seemed hard to find, tons of broken links, etc. Just a pain in the butt.

Scaling well is all dependent on your tastes. Works plenty fine if you enjoy playing entire albums. I've never been into playlists. And yes, i have several hundred gb of albums.

Iuse itunes. But have never found a audio player that i liked. I used winamp for years, never really liked it that much was just to play mp3s. Actually i guess there was a time i really liked winamp, but im not into the same stuff now lol.
