What's your favorite radio station to listen to while running amuck?

Mine is chatterbox 109 when I can hear what the people are saying while crashing into everything in sight. Kind of hard to hear them over police sirens

IIRC Lips 106 has some funny commercials.

Man, this thing needs a good system to play. My Geforce 2 gts aint cutting it.

I find it really hard to control in the third person view when you're on foot. Why can't I make it so that my gamepad directional pad make him turn, instead of step sideways? I often have to use the gamepad to control his movement, and the mouse to shoot and look.

EDIT: My own MP3's of course.

Kelvrick my GF2 GTS runs it smooth as buttah at 1024x768 (P3 @ 980MHz, 768MB ram).

As for the radio, I like cruising to Jah Radio the best

I think I've heard every last line said on all the Chatterbox recordings in the game (well, I am 82% done with it - on PS2). Some of them are really funny....especially Fernando.

It does take some horsepower if you plan on jacking up the resolution. I tried 1280x1024x32 with a Radeon 32Meg on a P4 2.0 and it wasn't happening. I'm still not sure I'm done tweaking the video options for optimal performance.

Side note, I like the game and it's just like the PS2 game. However, I hated with a passion the targeting system on the PS2 and welcome the mouse. But playing the game with keyboard and mouse takes a while to get used to. Well worth the money though for anyone that doesn't have a PS2 with GTA3.

If you have the same stations as the PS2 version, and I bet you do, head radio is the one. I swear there are several songs on it that are good enough that you could hear them on the radio and they'd do well. The soundtrack to GTA3 is nothing sort of incredible.

There is something fun also about being in a high speed chase and listening to classical music.

I like chatterbox 101 too. I *swear* I heard Tony (one of your bosses) call in once complaining about his mamma

Double Clef is the only way to go!

Hop in a car and find some jumps. Nothing better than slow-mo insane stunts with opera blasting.

"What's your name, sir?"
"That's not important, okay? So my Ma, she says to me, she says 'Tony, you'll never be as good a man as your father.'"
"Well Tony, I ...."
"Hey, how'd you know my name?"

Okay, not exactly what was said, but that's generally how it went. Classic...

In fact, there's twenty jumps all across the level that are labelled as "Unique Jumps." These are the ones where your camera angle shifts to the side, cinematic view (very cool). If you're going fast enough and land the jumps, you get money, starting at ten grand and increasing 5K every jump you make. When you complete the last unique jump you get 200 grand. Some of them are really hard. You can find a list of them on some faq out there (some great ones are at gamefaqs.com) or buy yourself a guide (12 bucks at Best Buy, definitely worth it.)

I love Chatterbox but mostly listen to MP3s of the Howard Stern show. Interestingly, the MP3 player seems to keep playing even when not selected, so it really is like listening to the radio.

wish the ps2 version allowed you to play mp3s. Suppose having a hdd on the ps2 would help....

I started up a new game last night and only got one unique jump. That was by accident because I was trying to out run a dozen police cars and a helicopter.

Is there any way to make it stay on any one single station? It gets kind of annoying pulling a pimp out of his g-ride and having to change the rap music

Head Radio, for pretty much the exact same reasons, plus I love their self promos - "...a greater variety of strange noises ...it's the station your parents warned you about"

Create shortcuts to the mp3s you want and put them in the GTAIII/mp3 folder..or you can stick the mp3s in there, but that takes up a ton of space.

I always listened to Chatterbox... but I haven't played that game in such a long time ever since some idiot decided to steal my roommate's memory card for the PS2... which just happened to have GTA on it.
