Take On Me - A Ha

A Ha is not a one-hit-wonder group! They've been really hot over in Europe the last few years. Be sure to check out Forever Not Yours, Lifelines, and I Wish I Cared.

In that case, I bet some of these other bands were popular outside the States, too. "We're big in Belgium" (quote from Singles)

Some of these bands listed did have other hits in the States (Flock of Seagulls and Devo were not one-hit wonders.)

I agree with Devo not being a one hit wonder but not flock of seagulls.

Space Age Love Song

Those were other songs of theirs that were rather popular (at least they made radio/MTV.)

Yep, there's a cool interview where he talks about recording that song in his bedroom with cheap equipment and a Radio Shack mic. That song is great.

I've always liked Sgt. Barry Sadler - The Ballad of the Green Berets.

Especially after the events of 9/11 have brought about so much nationalism!

They have a lot of songs. Too bad the general radio populace has crappy taste.

The rest of their album(Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone) was pretty good. It's weird how some songs never catch on.

Thanks for the titles, I'll check 'em out. From the same time period as Take On Me, they have a better song titled The Sun Always Shines on TV, that was a minor hit.
