Sweetest Thing

Covers a lot of U2 timeframe there, and each has a different flow to it. Wire is off of Unforgettable Fire and showcases Edge's clean guitar work. Drowning Man and Sweetest Thing both cover love in its ultimate yearning stage with soulful lyrics by Bono. Very hard to choose just one but great to listen to many.

Well, all the (great) hits have been named. Among the lesser-known (and less widely distributed ) songs of theirs I love are 'Spanish Eyes' and 'Love Comes Tumbling.'

Anything from '93 - Zooropa (and only a few tracks on it) or before. Everything after that isn't very good. Pop is the worst.

Favorites, somewhat in order: All I Want Is You, Red Hill Mining Town, In God's Country, The Unforgettable Fire, Pride, SBS, NYD, Surrender, 40, Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses, Trip Through Your Wires, One, Zooropa, Bullet the Blue Sky, Gloria. And of course The Wanderer with Johnny Cash. They had a few really good B-sides too.

To this day, SBS and NYD remind me of when I first got cable TV since they were in heavy MTV rotation at the time.

The Joshua Tree was one of the best albums ever made.

Did anyone see Rattle and Hum in the theater during the original release? Didn't it come back out in theaters not too long ago?
