I love the styling. Unlike most 1980's cars from Japan, the Accord's interior doesn't look like it's from the 1980's, no silver plastic or orange LED displays, and it handles itself quite well for a family car (though it feels completely disconnected from the road when I compare it to the replacement). The extreior is just beautiful though, timeless I think. Something about a sedan with retractible headlights. You know, I haven't yet owned a car that didn't have retracting headlights. 8)Originally posted by: RossMAN
Zenmervolt - I was infactuated with the 88 Accord LX-i. I had a paper delivery job in downtown Portland, OR for about a year. The boss had this beautiful black 1988 Honda Accord LX-i manual, there was just something about it that called my name ... it had a lot of miles and he drove it really hard, yet when he said he was selling it for $6k I tried everything possible to scrounge up the dough. Looking back I'm glad that I wasn't able to get the $6k because it would have died a year later. That was one sweet ride.

Exactly my point! The exterior was OMG beautiful. Although I'd probably never buy a black car, if I could find a brand new 1988 Honda Accord LX-i, I'd buy it. Ah the memories.
