My Dad is still driving my very first car. It was the car that I learned to drive on in 1995, and it had 86,00 miles then. It was a 1988 Plymouth Reliant. Dad still drives it and it only has 155,000 on it now. Cheapest car to drive/fix/own. It's a great car.

In the late seventies there was a guy near where I lived who put a huge (like 3 feet across) BMW sticker on the hood of his mid-sixties AMC (pink) Rambler. Was the oddest looking BMW 2002 I ever saw.

1995 Isuzu Rodeo - I worked damned hard for it... 7 days a week avging 30 hours a week while still in HS. Now I wish my parents weren't so generous in allowing me to buy a brand new car... because I got into my share of minor accidents (a couple) with it. I won't be making the same mistake with my kids and allowing their 1st car to be new cars. Too bad for them, but it's for the better.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I had a 1983 dodge 400 (no turbo, no convertable, no nothin'). That thing wouldn't go uphill for anything. Arg...it was such a POS. It had no heat so I'd always freeze my arse off.

Ah, the memories.

I'm about the same way...my "dream car" costs $20,000

I would seriously take it over a brand new Lamborghini or Ferrari or whatever you could think of.

Only top of the line car that might compete is a Shelby Series 1, or Lotus Exige, but still would take my 968 Turbo S

$20,000 might buy a 'created' 968 Turbo S not the real deal (only 15 made). Still an awesome car, even better is the RS

My final car will be a 1988 944 Turbo S or a 1989 944 Turbo, as soon as I get a garage.

I think it had 30 HP, weighed a thousand pounds and was really, really small.

1986 Nissan Maxima. Was super-reliable until I hit 100k and then all hell broke loose. Sold that POS not long after that point since it was spending more time on the side of the road or in the shop than actually moving.

1983 Black Z28 Camaro w/ red, orange, and gray ground effects. Sweet first ride. Handled like it was on rails. Nice.

Oh yeah, of course. I wouldn't want one of the true Turbo S's though because they had stripped interiors. Plus a lot of the "created' 968 Turbo S's also come with a few tweaks to bump them from 300hp to 450+ .
