Slew Foot

That game was beyond stupid. All the filler baddies besides the foot soldiers were weird/strange and never in the show. The game was horribly balanced. The only reason you weren't playing donatello was if he was low on health because the other ones blew. The only time you played Ralph was if you were in such deep crap with your other three turtles health bars that to take another hit with one of them would mean death. It was also hard as fuck and if you ever missed a jump and had to double back, ALL the enemies had respawned. (but never the life healing pizza's, of course). I was regarded as a legend in my first grade class for beating that damn dam level. To take down the technodrome should have gotten you your own statue for pete sake.

I think i was in 6/7th grade when I beat it. I had all the patterns down for every level

2 (dam)- getting in the lake was easy, but that 2:20 time limit was tough. Additionally, sometimes, the lake would spawn currents which would make it difficult to swim. Once you figured out the pattern, I could get through with about 20 seconds to spare

3- City: You got to drie around in the van and run over soldiers which was fun. I would go into certain buildings to get 20 missiles for the van and then stock up Mike and Raph with 40 scrolls each. The scrolls were uber powered and would come in helpful in later levels. Meka turtle is easy, hit him with a few scrolls and hes dead.

4- Airport: You had to go in the manhole covers in a certain order, but the level itself wasnt hard aside from the instant death spikes near the end. Big Mouser was easy. Stand right under him with Donatello and aim up, e cant hit you.

5- Base: The technodrome boss spawned at one of three random locations, there were a few pizzas in this level so Id try and heal up. Technodrome boss, Id fire scrolls to take out te weapons and then stand on the treads and hit the eye

6- Tecnodrome: Holy crap hard as balls. Random flying things that fire lasers and you cant jump over, and dont get killed by a scroll. I usually took a guy that had full health and just try and run through. After that Shredder was easy.

2005 and 2006 CPL for Day of Defeat.

At the '05 event I asked Billy Mitchell if he wanted to go first at a game of Donkey Kong because I might be a while. I knew of him because of his Pac Man record, but I had no idea what he looked like until after I saw King of Kong. He said that's OK. I quit watching his first guy after an hour and just wandered off.

1990 Nintendo World Championships. A 6 minute and 21 second blast through Super Mario Bros, Rad Racer, and Tetris. Tetris became the most crucial part of the competition, due to the ability to truly seperate the talent.

30 Cities, the tour moved in an entire fleet of trucks week to week, taking a weekend in each one across the country in huge exhibition halls, culminating in the finals at Universal Studios Hollywood. There was a champion in each age group, then we played each other for one last game. Had a lot of fun, met Michael Jordan, hung out with Howard Phillips, but more importantly met some amazing people, and one of them is my best friend 22 years later.

My brother was the 18 and up champion of Miami from that tour also, so two of the top 90 NES players of the era were brothers

These achievements are hilarious, but mainly because people think they are achievements.

I've beat Ninja Gaiden (NES). Multiple times.

I cheat on Jaquio by keeping the spin attack thing without using it through several areas (you can still do normal jump-slash if you hold down while you're in the air). With the spin attack thing, I can defeat Jaquio with 1 or 2 hits. :awe:

Won a Lower Mainland Street Fighter 2 competition. Was the only white guy in the top 10!

In "sports" my fastest half-marathon is 1 hour 35 minutes 21.6 seconds which was an awesome achievement for me and something I will likely never replicate.

Super Mario 64

By exploiting various clipping and game engine glitches, I get get a lot of places I'm not supposed to be, or I can get to places long before I should be able to.

I can get behind various doors in the castle without walking through them. Some leave you permanently stuck and you have to reset the game.

I can get on top of the castle with 0 stars.
By doing this, I can also view naked Lakitu (no cloud) up close.

I can get inside the fish aquarium in the castle outside stage 3 (you can't get out).

I can complete the game with only 16 stars. It requires getting through several star doors without enough stars to pass, but I also have to trick my way past the endless staircase (normally requires 70 stars).

Beat Koopa the Quick footrace in 00:00:00.

Duplicate Mario's hat until the the system freezes.

Make Mario's hat get stuck in his hand...even while flying.

got a single in my final game ever for YMCA little league (~6 or 7 yrs old). Not that we kept numbers or anything, but I imagine my OBP was probably close to .300-.360, as I walked a ton.

Most common accolade for me: "good eye!"

I didn't even know it was him!

Can you imagine the chuckle he restrained when I offered to let him go first?!?!

No kidding. I'm surprised he did restrain himself; I could see him starting a game, then laughing at you after his first hour of play.

I played Little League and got eliminated in the first round of state competition. I think I bowled a 176 once. Oh and I FINISHED a 5K and 10K.

Yeah, those are my athletic achievements.

I did a 20k, which is a touch shorter than a half marathon in 1:24 or so. That's the first and last race of that distance for me. Too much work!

My wife has been prodding me to a marathon with her for 10 years now and can honestly say I have absolutely zero desire to run that far any more.

Nice, that's only around 1.5 KM shorter than a half, so a very impressive time.

I think a half marathon is the sweet spot; full marathon is way too long as far as I'm concerned. I may run one eventually, just to do it, but I'm not rushing to do so.

Actually, aside from his physical appearance (he was dressed and groomed just as in the film), and his obvious skill at DK, I had no reason to remember him. He seemed like a nice enough guy, and I was in Texas, so super-mullets, cowboy boots, big hats, and American flag ties seemed pretty run of the mill.

Had I had any clue, I would have definitely tried to get him to the bar to drink with me and the fnatic guys and pick up the women from the purse trade show.
