I'll agree with facebook, I don't see the point of it. Twitter though, is a goldmine and it's easily generated 10 times the applicants at work, without paying twitter a penny, and there's no ads, it's just simply free. /boggle

1: Open floor plans - This is why your kids hate you, they get no privacy, then have zero skills to move out. Older house? those long spans will eventually have problems, new build with i-joists? you can call them what you want, myself and firefighters call them kindling.

2: Cult like followings of food. This is why you people are ROUND

3: Records - Proven time and time again they do not produce better sound. My theory is this generation is so spoiled and bored with life they make their own hardships and FWP's, this is one of those. The only argument that is valid for records is the artwork.

4: People who think buying things other people made or built makes them a creative person. You swiped a credit card, someone else did all the work and had the idea.

5: Suburbanites who think they are "Gangsta" if you use the term "hookers and blow" you are a loser, get back to your fescue lawn it's over 3" tall.

6: Taco Bell lab and workshop inventions being considered "food" They might as well just take a bucket, put everything they have on the menu inside and fire up the kitchenaid and serve it trough style

7: Women and mom's who are welded to their smartphones, no one you are interacting with is that important and either are you. The important people are sitting in your back seat having their brains melted down by the tablet you bought to babysit them.

8: Short term memory people when it comes to a good or bad economy. When the economy gets bad everyone acts like it's never going to get better, when the economy gets good people think there is no possible way the party will stop.

Things I do like that I have read about recently that I wish would become fads

1: Reading stories about kids and teens who start their own business that help other people out and then get supported by the community.

2: old people who have a house like the movie "Up" that defy builders

3: people in their 90's who run record times in the 60 meter dash that would outpace our fat teenagers we produce today.

4: Batboy and what the people of San Fran did for him

5: People who live within their means financially and environmentally and flat out don't care about trying to be a good "Murican" They don't place burdens on other people like allowing their kids to go out at night and vandalize the hood or leave their dogs out barking for hours.

6: People who don't have first world problems, they power through minor things since that is part of life and when something bad does come along like a lay-off they reserve the word "problem" for that.

People are at their best when they face adversity. Today's culture is too spoiled allowing for crappy fads that we don't need. We need a war with aliens from Mars or something.

Baggy pants or any gangster style look

Casual dress work environments. Is it really that big of a deal to wear a shirt with a collar and decent pair of shoes.

Not dressing up for anything. Can't wear a suit for a funeral or wedding?

another vote for selfies

Idiots that write long negative reviews for restaurants because the place didn't bend over backwards to fulfill every crazy request they had.

Forgot about people who don't tip and in general all the media coverage of these situations.

People that post incessant BS on facebook. Yes I could delete it, or ignore basically 75% of people on there (or just defriend them) but jesus people, don't you have REAL issues or things to show?

Also, I hate Mondays.

I agree with all this stuff, but I don't get the toilet paper one. TP is one of mankind's greatest inventions.

Now, homosexuals: In my area (S.F. Bay) it's so damn trendy to plug or participate in gay pride and all that shit it makes me sick. It's gotten to the point where it seems as though heterosexual proclivities are something you are ashamed to admit, by a process of deduction. That has to be just sick, and I mean sick in the ordinary sense.

unfortunately for you, that 'fad' has been around long before you even existed and will be around long after you're gone. how utterly tragic for you :'(

--Sagging.
--Affliction shirts.
--Big booties. I'm all for curves, but in proportion.

Regarding Facebook. I resisted for a long time, until giving some company a like got me a discount on an air compressor. Now I keep in touch with a few people, share an old music video, celebrate a National Championship. I post maybe 10 times per year. The local RC track posts their results and schedule on Facebook. It's good for stuff like that.
But.....Edro mention pictures with quotes. Those people need professional help. I'll add to them the people that basically advertise for their employer in the under the pretense of keeping in touch with friends.

2. Zombies - I don't get it. I see zombie parades. Zombie branded ammunition. Zombie parties. Why?
Zombies are fun. No complaints.

4. Bacon - It's not even that good. Will corp American please stop putting bacon on everything just to get a rise out of people for publicity?
You can't possibly believe that!

5. "Cool" nerds - Since when is it cool to be a nerd? Anyone who says they're a nerd, is not a nerd. Real nerds don't know they're nerds.
This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read. Practically all nerds know they're nerds. It's the stupid over-confident TV stereotype that doesn't. Putting nerds into awkward situations that a real-life nerd would avoid like the plague - TV does that just for the laughs.

Keurig machines: terrible coffee and wasteful plastic cups.

Fedoras: I own a 1960s era fedora that belonged to my grandfather and I wear it in his memory. It's also one of the few hat styles that suits me. Then the damn hipsters had to come in and make them douchey.

Pickup trucks: Ever since SUVs became the new minivan, every pencil dick emasculated loser started buying pickups. They can't drive them and they definitely can't park them.

Our house is pretty much open floor plan, but we have no kids and just the wife and I, so I like it.

Remember the Lululemon see-through scandal. Spandex turns transparent when you stretch it too much. D:

I remember using a Keurig a few years ago at my step sisters house.

Seems a waste the wife has one at work they use I guess, seem to remember reading somewhere the guy that even invented them thinks they are a bad idea, go figure.

I tend to agree on the pickup truck thing a bit, I had a 1980 GMC High Sierra short bed 4x4 back around 1984, when I lived in snow, seems it's a bit of a blue collar look at me type of impractical thing to see who has the biggest one for no damned reason sometimes these days.

Entitled kids with expensive phones is in there too.

That's your retirement account in there.

A small part of what should have added to it at any rate.

I won't go on about how many heated arguments happened arose over that one, and I still have a horse I do not want.

it's a fad now because every video game company wants to be part of the FPS genre ever since halo 2 made fps mainstream on consoles. i'd say golden eye did it, but it was really the only one back then, and halo 2 put online FPS on the map for console gamers. and now cod has taken over that crown, along with an oversaturated FPS market.

FPS games are not a fad. If you want a game fad, it's these stupid "story mode" games where there is more storyline than actual gameplay. Talk about boring.

FPS games are by far the most entertaining to play, especially online because it's genuine competition.

As for story mode games, if I want a story, I'll watch a movie.
