Sorry about the games I missed. Guess these are just the big ones I've heard the most about.

Seems like HL2 is the winner regardless, a great choice. Maybe people are thinking of the numerous great mods that are sure to come out for the game (Valve is supporting modders again).

EDIT: I can't really add options now... that would mess up the poll pretty bad. Many Dues Ex2 votes would still be in "other" making the game look less wanted than it is.

Anyone ever lust over their friends running Excape Velocity ONLY for Macs? Well, Ambrosia is finally porting it to the PC, currently in Beta 10 with no word of release date. I think my second most awaited is for Star Wars Galaxies. I used to MUD on SWMUD, and thought it would be really cool if they would use graphics instead of text.

Another vote for Knights of the Old Republic. Since it's coming from Bioware (maker of NWN), is it safe to assume that KOTOR will be OpenGL-based, or is there a chance that it will be DX-based?

I confess really luked the Doom 3 Alpha, but after playing Mafia, I want to see more from that engine, and if it comes with the name "H&D2", Jesus!, It will be SUPERB.

Almost assuredly OpenGL.
I can't think of any engine they've ever licensed that's been anything but strictly designed for OpenGL.
Plus given that NWN, BG1&2 + the associated expansion packs and KDK1&2 were all OpenGL.... that's their entire histroy of PC Games right there all OpenGL based.

Heh, vaporware. We can always hope! And those titles might be what people want more than anything.

I think Valve even mentioned in a HL2 preview on IGN that TF2 isn't dead, they couldn't talk about it because it was using the technology of HL2 which they kept secret as well.

I wish I had the time to play all of these games, or the money. Some great stuff coming out!!!
