Which game was a real bitch to complete? With regards to completing games, I think there are some that can easily be done to 95% and the last 5% is wayyy too much effort. It feels really really good to slide one of my games into my 'completed' section, even if it's polluted with games with multiplayer only achievements.
I consider stuff like pre Internet GTA to be a different beast since there's no way to get relevant info, much less perform the actual tasks. That's also just old school 'find the widget' tasks though. Difficulty to me is the actual performance of the tasks, or difficulty bound to either the nature of the game, the type of achievements, or number to get. In terms of actual difficulty hitting 100% I think ToME (tales of maj'eyal) takes the cake in terms of games I've actually played. Some civ-like games are probably harder, some multiplayer games more onerous due to other player requirements or time commitment, but it's hard to beat the sheer cliff face of a rogue-like with over 1700 achievements.Which game was a real bitch to complete? Nope. I guess it was 82 since BurgerTime wasn't around in 81. This was in Tainan, Taiwan. My dad asked his friend in Taipei to get me one and ship it to us. It was not available locally yet.Space Quarks?

This was one of my favorite games in the arcades. The SNES got really close to the arcade quality for the game itself. All of this was purchased for just THIS game.
The hardware besides the console itself were (2) custom arcade joysticks made with actual arcade hardware.
They were not MAS brand, no. They were very plain-looking white MDX boxes with 6 main buttons and a joystick. I think it might've had a button repeater switch to enable/disable rapidfire on the buttons (never got used in fighting games that I bought them for).MAS sticks?

These were custom made for me by some guy I located in California, specifically for the SNES, and wouldn't work on other consoles or PC. This was 1992.
