that poster could have said, "i don't have a black role model." however he did not, and the words would and never stands out to me, and i take offense to that.

thank you for stereotyping me, since all black people pull the race card to get what we want.

that's total and utter BS to think in that manner. see that's the problem with people that think like you do. it doesn't have to be a big sign that says "i hate this guy because he is black, white, spanish etc." it can be a simple gesture such as this poster, who could have worded his post in a manner that was not so offensive.

i won't get into it further, as people like him and you will never change, and trying to explain my POV to you would be pointless.

I'm an old WASP and I thought the post was in poor taste and bordered on being racist. If he did not have a black role model or even a black person that he admired then he should not have posted.

In the way he stated it there can be the impression that he is racist. Perhaps he's one of the kiddies just trying to get his post count up or perhaps he had some negative meaning to it. Either way, he didn't need to post it.

There is a BIG difference between being PC and being racist.

I currently don't have a black role model. I think it would be offensive for someone to say that I should have a black role model. That doesn't mean that I couldn't have a role model that is black because the reason why a person is a role model to me does not depend upon his/her color.

To say that you would never want to be like any black man is clearly a racist statement. If a man existed that epitomized greatness, you wouldn't want to be like him because he was black? By using the word "never", you have clearly stated that you are a racist.

Why did you post in this thread, anyway? To try and get a rise out of people? You are a simple little man.

Note that he put quotes around the phrase "black role model". Perhaps he is saying that he doesn't label his role models by their color. If that is the case then you may as well go shove that self-righteous foot of yours in your big mouth. Then again, he may just be a dumb cracker....
