i can only find the 1.25 patch. where can i get the 1.17 file? while still running the cd version of q3 and upping my fsb to 102 and 11.5x = 1173mhz and overclocking my vid card to 320/364 (what a great card - that's the max that the asus tweak utility will allow me), i get 88.3 fps. my ram is running at 135 3-3-3 at that speed. do you think if i changed my setup to 107x11.5=1230 i'd see a drop because i'd have to run my ram at 107 not 140 because it won't run over 135mhz? i told you it was sh*tty ram.

it looks like i maxed out or something. i changed the multiplier to 12 so i'm running at 1224 now. bios settings all the same, and i'm still getting 88fps. weird huh? i'm downloading the new drivers right now so any discrepancies will be nulled.

update:i patched q3 to 1.17, changed my ram to 2-3-3, and changed the aperture size to 256, and instead of 88fps, i got 89 fps. there you have it. with my crappy, generic, $75 ram, i can hit 102fb and 136ram frequency. cpu is nearly maxed (in the cpu/oclock forum i started a thread about my successes in overclocking, and i got it to 11.5x107=1230), vid card is maxed, and ram is maxed.

I got over 100 and 60 before I started doing any tweaks. My first scores are w/my original configuration. Then after I just tried out the Reverend fast cfg file to see how much of an increase I could get. I remember back on my old BE6-II mobo I was able to get over 230fps in q3 fastest 640x480 using the rev fast cfg.

Actually, it's my system specs that kill me.

160 MB memory
I never get over 42 FPS no matter what my settings are. I normally play at 800 X 600 X 16 bit color. I leave lightmap on since it doesn't slow the TNT2 down, but I turn all game options off.
