Umm ... yes it is, that's why it's called music and not painting

No, it's like asking a mother if she had to kill all but one of her kids, which would it be.

Used to be Led Zep, until I started listening to some good classic blues and realized that they were mostly just rip-off artists. (EDIT: Really good rip-off artists, of course.)

Now I don't really have one favorite. I've got to agree with Injury's sentiment here--too many great ones out there to choose favorites.

No, it's like asking a person what their favorite band is.

I just can't narrow it down to one band. And I'm too lazy to list all the ones that make up my favorites.

And to think that its just a b-side

I'm really digging Pearl Jam these days. You guys should download the "Do the Evolution" video. Its beautiful.

Currently, it's The Smiths.

...and then there's my list of usual suspects (statistically based on highest number of four-star or better tracks in iTunes): Soundgarden, U2, Depeche Mode, Blur, Pulp, The Doors, Manic Street Preachers, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Suede and (yes...) The Cardigans.

blah.

As a "band" I guess I'd say Metallica would come closest to get my "favorite" stamp. But I think my tastes in music are too varied to be that devoted to a single creative source, enough to call it my favorite anyway.

The Smiths were a great band, weren't they?

I do like Blur, Depeche Mode, Pulp, Manic Street Preachers, Suede... but I don't think they were in quite the same league as The Smiths
