My Z-680s on my computer are set to around 35%. I have a 15" downfiring Klipsch powered sub for my home theater, and that one is set to about 20%. Anything louder (I live in an apartment) and pictures start falling off the walls.

What the hell. Why don't they just make 10 the highest volume. Everything, but labeling, will be the same.

But ours goes up to 11, that way if we need it a little louder we turn it up to 11.

LOL nice reference. Although I hate that movie.

You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where? Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?

Put it up to eleven.

You guys are idiots. Why not label the highest volume 10. It's not like it's gonna be any less loud due to the label.

i've got a sony of some sort, can't remember the model. it's about 60% of the way up, stereo EQ is completely flat. just enough to fill out the remaining frequency response and give the kick drums and bass guitars some oomph. i set the crossover to about 60 Hz to weed out all the boom and guitars and things.
