1. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
2. Pete's Summer
3. Guinness
4. Any Anderson Valley, especially the Oatmeal Stout
5. Victory Hop Devil

This is definitely the short list, though. I love trying new beers, and do so whenever I can afford it. Belgian wheats rock, Pete's Winter is another fav, Sam Adams Spring is a good standby. Yeungling Lager is a great starter to get people off of the Budweiser/Miller/Coors kick. Rogue Brewing Company and Frederick Brewing Company also make some very tasty beers.

3. Rolling Rock
4. Michelob Light
5. City Light (a local beer in western Wisconsin area)

TripleJ:

all 5 beers i mentioned are very different from each other, yet i like drinking them at different times. i just get in mood to drink a particular brand for no reason. i have MGD and Corona in my fridge at all times, and i drink those at home. but whenever i go to a korean restaurant with my gf, i order Hite. like Happykitten, my gf only likes alcoholic drinks that don't taste like alcohol, but Hite is only beer she will drink. Hite goes down very smooth, almost like water. whenever i go to Mexico, i drink Dos Equis. whenever i visit my sister, my brother-in-law has his fridge stocked with Guinness. and whenever i eat sushi, and i do often, i drink Sapporo.

why i picked these beers, i dunno. but i like how they taste, and i get in mood for it.

Pilsner (don't remember..), Hieneken (german I think), Guiness (Irish)....uhh...are there other beers?

On certain days a Corona (mexican) can be nice...it's a light fluffy beer for hot summer days only though...

Kokanee is always good just cuz I'm a BC boy and it's a BC beer (canadian)

Sam Adam's Boston Lager is horrendously bitter... not to good-bitter like Guiness in my taste.

Corona is underrated. Carlsberg's good too. Not really picky: Bud, Keystone, Coors(great), Shiner's are all good. Miller's like for the yuppies and chicks...
