My very first card was a Diamond Voodoo 2 8MB, after that

and finaly Sapphire 4870 512MB which is what I'm running now.

Wow when I write them all out like that it really gives you a sense of nostalgia. Kind of a funny thing to feel for pieces of obsolete silica and PCB. I'm still using the FX 5200 in my dads pc and 6800 in my HTPC.

Trident TGUI 9400CXI, VLB. Great card, or at least it seemed that way to me, it could do 16 bit color at 800x600! My world was changed forever when I realized that I was not limited to 8 bit color in 640x480. Other than my GF3Ti500 none of the video cards I've had since then have made such an impression on me.

Currently running 2x 8800GTS 512MB. My how things have changed.

Some old ATI I don't remember bought for s-video hookup or something.

The first gaming one I had was a Voodoo3 3000 AGP.
Then ATI X800XL then RMA'd the X800XL and got a X850XT PE (ATI sent it to me for free as a replacement which was awesome).
Now 8800GT (current).

The original Voodoo cards were just 3D accelerators. You needed to run an actual video card and then you could add one of those in for gaming. I forget what my first actual videocard was that I added a Voodoo to. I remember the Voodoo was a hand-me-down from a friend. I do remember upgrading to a Matrox card, as that brand had the best RAMDACs and 2D quality at the time. And eventually a Voodoo2.

The first discrete card I've ever owned was a Geforce 2 TI 64MB.

Mine came in the first PC I ever bought back in 1993. It was a Diamond video card but I forget the model. It had 2Mb ram on it and could be upgraded to 4Mb. At the time it was one of the best video cards available. My PC also had the brand new Pentium 66 CPUs. Windows 3.11... man those were the golden days of PC gaming in my situation. PCs and PC games have come a long way since then.

Well my first videocard was a very old RealTek ISA slot videcard. It could only handle 256 colors at 640x480.
First 3D accelerated was ATI Rage 128... It was pretty decent by that time.
