Um.... no? You'd just ignite them and they'd eventually get to you and light you on fire. This is a terrible idea.

And another thing. Eventually I would create a large circle with a 20 foot radius of burning bodies, the fires would grow very high, and all of the children behind the circle wouldn't be able to get through anymore, and if they did they'd be pre-lit, which would make them easier to kill.

A tank isn't a weapon... it's classified as something else... armament? Anyway, I think the OP meant a weapon you can carry. But a tank would be the ultimate choice, you get plenty of armor and lots of destructive force.

HMm...well with a flamethrower you could box yourself in with burning bodies. The kids couldn't get past it but you could reach in for a nice BBQ thigh when you got hungry. But with limited fuel...I donno.

I would want a machine that has a platform in the middle that doesn't move. Around the edges would be many ~5 foot blades that spin all around me chopping up the little bastards as they came close. This machine would use the heat from the bodies/blood of the kids to fuel itself. Good stuff....

Well seeing as how the children are unlimited, mathematically you're bound to die eventually. In the end it's all about how many you can take out before you die.

When you throw in factors like the ability of the children to work in groups (as opposed to each individual child wanting to kill you for themselves), things get pretty hectic.

Not only are you right that this is a repost, but this is actually the second repost of the same thing. It all started with that one guy's website where he and his friends had a serious conversation about how many 12-year-olds they could take down before they got tired.

EDIT: And for the record, they're 5 for christ's sake. I could take hundreds with my bare hands. If I had a good sword, as someone posted before, I could easily go on until hunger set in.

Yup, although if they were a little older. Maybe 8 or 9 it would be more difficult, but 5 no problem.

The original thread had the disclaimer that the 5 year olds had some training and were determined to kill.

I like how everyone thinks hunger would be their biggest problem. Aside from ignoring the obvious thirst, unlimited 5 year olds constantly attacking you would probably leave you exhausted pretty quickly. A good sword isn't that heavy, but swing it almost constantly for a half hour and tell me that it isn't heavy.

I'm not in that good of shape.

That's a good point... I'll need an oxygen mask and tank with unlimited oxygen. Still it's a better answer than the stupid sword ones. They don't seem to realize they'll tire themselves out after 20 kills, they seem to think skin and bone cuts like paper with no effort or something.

I guess if I can't have the unlimited fuel and oxygen, I'd have to go with a minigun on a swivel with a huge crate of ammo. And if it has to be a carriable weapon, I'd go with a 12 gauge pump shotgun with a huge clip and I'd load myself down with extra magazines. Might not get high numbers, but it sure would be fun! *pump - BOOM! headshot!* Then I'd load a clip with buckshot, do a slow-mo jump off a few of their heads, spin around in mid air... *pump - BOOM! headshot!*
