z-550 + audigy 2zs

ey yo, i got a z-550 logitech + sb 2zs set-up . finally got it hooked up with the right connectors/adapters digitally. digital coax monster cable plus a gold plated mono adapter from radioshack.

first question:

what are set-up in the software to get the best sound (5.1 digital surround sound) on these speakers and sound card in watching dvds, cd, and gaming???

its loud in the front but not really, i don't have rear speakers sound, plus i did the eax console 3d set-p, yeah it added soun but still not satisfied. i know theres somthi9ng wrong.

second :

i compared direct connection,(analog) and digital (coax) i didn't see/notice any diffrence. what's wrong, next step? please help!

Just use analog. There really isn't a difference and it's easier to deal with IMO.

The decoder in your speaker system will decode your signals if you have your soundcard set to spdif out and also your viewing/listening progs set to match (power dvd etc)
Follow your decoder speaker system docs.

I just reset my comp from the start, reload my audigy software, when I try to calibrate, I don't get any center channel aswell as rear ( left & right ) speakers.

if I play a media, it's working but the rear speakers are not as loud as front ones.

how come I don't have anything in calibration as far as center and rear? , what are the detailed step by step settings of 2zs ( restart when?)

i think i did the sttings just fine, if i still get the same thing, is this normal?

u will only get surround sound in games from analog...movies will work with digital
