Ok these speakers sound great, sure. But what the hell, they are THX qualified and Dolby, but for the life of me i can not get them to play 5.1 sound. I have an audigy 2 sound card, nothing special but i paid 80 bucks for it and i was assuming it has the ability to play 5.1. Well it doesnt, when i play counter-strike and someone fires behind me, it is just played on all the speakers at the same volume, it is like i have 2.1 system. I went out and bought a cord that i hooked up from the coaxial to the sound card and still same crap. when i run any test that is supposed to play the speakers on my front left and right speakers come up, unless i use the headunit for the z680's then it works. It is as if the sound card does not recognize my other 3 speakers, center and rears. This is rather annoying considering if i try to play a movie in 5.1 i miss half the audio becuz it goes to the center or rear and it just doesnt play, so i have to set it back to 2.1 and live with no 5.1 and no dolby. I dont wanna pay 300 bucks for crapped out speakers that refuse to work on perfectly good hardware, maybe i have the wrong coaxial cable tho. I bought some cable from radio shack, "audio and digital camera cable '1/8" mono miniplug to RCA phono plug'" and it fits in both sides and transmits the sound, but does it not play back 5.1 because it is mono?? Can someone one tell me what they did exactly, what coaxial cord do i have to buy to make the damn things work. I tried looking up 75ohm digital coaxial cables like the logitehc support suggests but i cant find any that look like they will fit in the headunit/sound card... Please help
