Syfy wants more zombies and they’re renewed Z Nation for a third season. There will be 15 new episodes 2016.

They really need to mix it up in 2016.

I think it's a fun show. I like it more than Walking Dead. They left a bunch of stuff open for next season, awesome.

Ehhhh - I actually found portions of this season hard to watch. The show is reaching that critical-turning-point thing where the whole "Murphy" theme is old and dried up but they don't have another focus yet. They better figure out a good one soon. I admit the rolling wheel of cheese was awesome, but the mexican drug cartel was boring as heck.

The Mexican cartel had its moments, like when they curled doc's beard and dressed everyone up. It was worth it just for that. But yeah, it was a little boring. Of course it did give us the head-in-a-box which is probably going to be pretty entertaining.

I can't tell where they're going with this. It seems that something happened on the sub that was probably instigated by Murphy, so I assume that they had some other agenda. The whole CDC story looks like it's going to be a dead end.

The submarine people said they were only really making a vaccine for rich people in Zona, and the crew of the submarine was already partially zombified -- something about a side effect of an old vaccine only slowing the process. The officer also said something about Zona people being the remnants of the original U.S. Government, so that probably included the CDC.

Murphy bit a few people on the face and turned them into his personal slaves. Probably made them blow the sub up.

So... were those Chinese or North Koreans at the end?

After finally catching up on this seasons Walking Dead, Z Nation is definitely better. TWD spent 8 episodes covering like a 2 day period...talk about milking it. Although this season of Z Nation wasn't bad, I didn't think it was as good as the first season. And since it looks like there is no intention of a cure or some kind of end game, its probably going to end up like TWD and sorta become meaningless.

Well one thing seems certain - they're going to hook up with Citizen Z. So I'm picturing some sort of RV, Breaking Bad style, with a variety of electronics giving him access to much of what he had access to at his base.

Something else just occurred to me. Didn't he try to warn the group that the CDC meeting was a trap? So maybe that means that there are other groups doing research on the virus.

The folks at Asylum seem to be pretty imaginative so I don't think the show is going to dead end. I mean who would have ever come up with the zombie messiah angle. Maybe they ripped that off from some other comic but that was genius. So I'm hoping that they either have more ideas they can rip off or can come up with more things that are just as creative.

Had last 6 episodes still waiting on dvr and just finished them off. One thing I didn't get is how so many little building and areas survive while the walking mob somehow managed to take down that entire casino complex in moments and it looks like LA is a wasteland.


Glad the Mexican chick got mercy, didn't really care for her. Not exactly sure what skewering her own people in the final battle was supposed to do.

So the fake vaccine gives you enough zombie mojo to survive decapitation? And it seems some were affected to various degrees of zombieness.

Hope 10k manages to survive. And look, another here comes the Chinese show plot.

Someone on the shows writers must be a mad max fan. This new episode reminded me of mad max, the one with the feral kid. One of the episodes last season seemed like an homage to mad max as well.

yeah, i was thinking the same thing. he gave them all kinds of chances to kill him. but i think they were scared about what kind of power he had behind him, like who was having him do this, and he mentioned like drone photos or something, so they knew he had some power.

Seriously, shoot the guy holding them... I'm guessing the armored zombies were more like a shield and distraction for the people with guns in the back.

I didn't really understand the latest episode. They started it off with Doc saying it's a flashback, but with where the characters are, it's timed after the last season's finale... not sure why they didn't continue straight off last year's finale then.

Maybe I'm misreading your post but this show happened in the past since the zombaby and Murphy's pet were in it. It shows how Zona got its start.

It really was a bad episode. Granted, I'm not looking for super-duper show quality stuff (I love the campy stuff such as the cheese wheel) but this was 1 hour too long. Did get a laugh with his plastic wrap bio suit.

And won't the Dr. start growing fungus?

It's confusing because all of last season, they had the undercover FBI (?) agent with them, and Maddy's boyfriend got off'd at the start.

I liked the flashbacks from the finale. Doc was hilarious, wife and kid scary as hell. Would like more like that.


At end of it they showed the baby as toddler size and the parents had zombied out (death from lack of food and such once the kid controlled them?)
