Z270 microATX motherboard

Hi,

I'm shopping for a new Z270 microATX motherboard, and so far I've narrowed it down to the Asus Prime Z270M-Plus and the Gigabyte GA-Z270M-D3H.

I'm leaning towards the Gigabyte as it's slightly cheaper, and has more connectivity options (USB, SATA). I'm hoping this build will last for several years (my previous Sandy Bridge build was based on an Asrock motherboard that started becoming finicky after a few years) so stability and durability is a definite concern as well.

Any thoughts, or alternate recommendations?

I wouldn't play out Asrock from the microATX play. Asrock these years have been doing some pretty solid motherboards.

Thanks. Had a look at the Asrock Z270M Pro 4, specs seem comparable, but other than M.2, the Gigabyte still seems to have more connectivity options, and is cheaper/more available where I am.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those boards. I have several D3H's from previous generations still running strong. I also have a Z97 version of the Asus board running fine after several years with a 4790k. I never had good luck with ASRock Pro 3 boards, but the Pro 4 boards seem to have better results.

Pro4 is actually one of the best B350 boards not sure about the Z270 ones.
