Claymore 5.0 is out. Another big speedup. Getting ~130Sol/s with my 290s, up from ~95 Sol/s and ~115 Sol/s with my 480, up from ~75Sol/s. And lower power usage than 4.0 as well.

Wow, that was a big speed boost in Claymore v5.0 . I recently jacked up the clockspeed on the 390 in my Win10 machine (ZEC1) and got up to maybe 155 Sols/S under 4.0, but 5.0 reports 230-250 Sols/s. I'll have to see what the pool thinks about that over the long term.

CPU usage on -i 2 is way down, which is good news.

WTH?!! Is that with ONE 390? 230S/s?

Market is siding with XMR as the darknet coin leader IMO. Zcash will continue to drop, maybe a few bull traps here and there but I expect it'll fall into the low double digits $ wise.

Funny thing is XMR had next to no marketing. All the Zcash hype is making people look at other coins, and there's a lot of reasons XMR is technically superior. A few important ones to me are that there was no "trusted setup" involved, and no coins preallocated to the founders.

Nah it's a 390 and a downclocked 290. The 290 only does 820 MHz, it's sad. But it's producing.

Now that I'm getting results from the pool, they're only showing 214 Sols/S, so there's obvious disconnect between client speeds and actual results. Still not bad at all. It is fluctuating some too.

Impressive bump, just from upgrading from claymore 2.0 to V5.0. Seems like over double the hashrate.

Damn, it seems, its the updated software (pushing the hashrate of the cards up) that keeps up profitability... And here I thought ZEC was a goner at the price right now.

edit: On the other hand, it doesn't explain why there's been an increase in the ETH hashrate recently. I assumed it was people moving back from ZEC but then, that seems to not be the answer since ZEC is still more profitable than ETH right now...

I think a lot of people did move back to eth.

Yup. Plus you have to figure new miners and new cards get added to the big pile every day.

So far Claymore 5 makes a massive difference for new AMD cards. My 480 is doing around 125, and my two 470s are doing 110ish a piece. Even my 460 is over 60.

Older cards got a boost but not that massive. Plus I feel the reported rate in Claymore is a little bit of a lie for those cards. 24 hour average will tell us a lot.

My secondary rig is having some issues on Claymore 5. Only the primary gpu (RX 480) is mining. My 290 and APU graphics are there, but mining at 0H/s. Anyone experience this? This same rig works fine on 4.0. My main rig (dual 480s) also works fine on 5.0. I've tried multiple reboots/shutdowns, doesnt seem to help. I am behind 2-3 driver releases I believe. Maybe I'll try to upgrade that to see if it fixes

I had that on one machine. A driver reinstall fixed it.

You have two run two instances. One for 4XX cards, and another for other cards. This came up in the bitcointalk thread. I have always run it separately so never ran into the issue but saw lots of other people with the issue.

I've wiped drivers with DDU and tried two more recent driver versions, neither worked. Still only one gpu mining.

Interesting, this must have just changed with v5. I never had issues running both previously. I'll try this though

This did the trick. Running separate instances solved only 1 gpu mining. Thanks for the heads up.

Damn. Can you see those GPUs in AMD settings? Is the max clock for those GPUs in those settings correct?

My APU graphics tab went away in Radeon settings after updating to latest. I'll have to disable/reenable in bios to see if that brings it back. Not a huge deal if it doesn't. It only cranks out about 6H/s.

Claymore 6.0 has my Win10 machine up to 295 H/s. We'll see what the pool thinks but regardless, the reported speed boost is considerable.

with v6.0 my hash rate went up but earnings went down around the same time. I guess a lot of people upgraded to version 6 and global hash rate went up I assume.

I think this is fixed in 6.0... Heard some talk about an issue like this in the forums. Not sure though.

whattomine doesn't seem to have reported many changes. Maybe the rate you saw was with the rally ZEC had last night?
