WTF?

Take your pound of flesh and run with it. Don't do another one.
Another debate would be a waste of everybody's time. Nothing would materially change. Get out the vote is the fundamental the next 55 days, there's other stuff too. I think the TV ads for the Democrats are going to be amazing.

I'm kind of thinking that (maybe) Taylor Swift's endorsement followed by Trump fluffer Musk's creepy-as-shit offer to impregnate her could hurt Trump worse. His debate performance sounds like typical elderly cartoon crazy Trump. Damn if his eyes don't look super bugged and and deranged now though--sucks to be the old dude doesn't it Trump.
Wow, hadn't heard of that, but it's just WTF:

Stokely:

re: another debate
Sounds like she coasted in this one after an early nervous start. Why would any future debates turn out any differently? Trump will be fuming to pay her back so he'll be even more hostile and deranged than he apparently was in this one. And if he wisely declines, then he's the fucking chicken, it's draft-dodging corporal bone spurs all over again.

A couple days before the debate he was asked how he had prepared for the debate considering how extensively Harris was preparing and his reply was his slight misquote of Mike Tyson, "everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face," very brave of cadet bone spurs threatening to punch a woman in the face on national television.

ABC very very likely had a ~7 second delay and motherf**ker would have been blanked out.

Going on Fox to debate Trump would remove the excuse that the mods were teaming with Kamala. I wouldn't trust Fox mods to not fake fact check though, so that would be the main risk.

for once, i would actually take this as a figure of speech than literal truth, because that is a quote that is quoted often.

also, someone posted the post-debate reactions over at fox as being "so unfair it was 3 vs. 1" and i had to laugh because today i overheard someone at work discussing the debate saying "yeah it was ridiculous. it was totally 3 vs. 1!"

They all got the talking point memo. It's the one that plays with the low information undecided voters.

Screw the criticism of the moderators. Just ignore it. It was what it was, same with every presidential debate. They're all going to be criticized. Fuck Fox, anybody with a modicum of honesty knows they are extremely biased.

Someone on MSNBC did a minutes count and the orange menace supposedly talked for 5 minutes more than VP Harris.
Also he spoke 39 separate times to Harris" 23

I only recall two times that David Muir fact checked Trump. He said the city manager of the town where Trump said pets were being eaten by immigrants said there was no credible evidence of that having happened and he said that Trump's allegations that the 2020 election was stolen were "false," where is routinely said on all the network TV shows ever since the election. TBH, I figure Muir and Davis favor Harris, but what sane person doesn't? I had no embarrassment for them. If anything they seemed civil throughout to me.

Even so, I think it a highly crass remark in this context.

The only things that were fact checked were egregious, obvious lies. Harris did not make any of those.

Fox apparently tried a next day fact check of her which included saying things like how Trump didn’t compliment the Nazis in Charlottesville. The only problem is Harris was right.

Yeah, not exactly evidence of bias.

There is a huge difference between having "the wisdom to understand them or execute them properly" and just selectively applying them. I'm not fudging logic when saying they aren't real. I gave just one concrete example among thousands demonstrating that their actions refute their claims to care about any of these morals.

Hypocrisy absolutely makes those values unreal for the hypocrite. It calls into question the value of anything they say because they have demonstrated that they will say anything even when they know it is untruthful. We have no obligation to respect people who will lie to your face just to get something they think they want.

You may care about why they do such things, but I do not care. I have much better things to waste my time on. I actively trigger their Stockholm Syndrome because maybe it will help them hit rock bottom just a bit sooner.
There is a rock bottom to your world view also. Your indifference to the cause of their incapacity to see, their desperate need not to see is exactly the same as your own. Without the capacity to blame others for their failings you would left to bear your cross all alone. All that rage and nobody to dump it on. All that pain waiting to explode into conscious awareness fron the impotency fron the loss of a target.

Your anger is a sickness. Mind you, I’m just as sick. I just can’t deny what I see and know is true. I remember a therapy session where I got into such a rage I beat my legs black and blue and actually remembered were the feeling came from. It was a mind altering experience. I could not believe the two thing, the rage in the present and the source in the past could have ever possibly been related.

Go with the rage but know it has nothing to do with what you think it does. Behind your anger is a terribly wounded child who when you meet him you will cry your eyes out for. Grief heals. You are love for that child that you have hidden away. I say this is real. Do with it what you will.

She'd literally end up arguing with the moderators about obvious and gross lies that she would be forced to respond to, actually creating the circumstances that Republicans are currently complaining about; it'd be her vs 3.

OK, I spent 15 minutes and found the source for the Haitians eating cats in Springfield Ohio. News stories before the debate talk about the claim that started with a Facebook post and was picked up by the Calvin Coolidge Project. It then spread.

This is a post from the Calvin Coolidge Project that references the original Facebook post.

I know it is hard to read but someone on Facebook claims that their neighbor's, daughter's friend saw someone hanging from a tree ready to be butchered, just like you butcher deer. I would not say that is a reliable source.

Can we even rule out that the eating dogs and cats isn’t projection? I mean, they do have RFK Jr. on their side. And this is the same party that brought us Kristi Noem.

Plus I wouldn’t put it past anyone who put ketchup on their steak

Considering he follows Goebbels 101: Accuse other side of what you're guilty of.. you might have a point.

Might have to investigate near where he lives..

The only thing I'm angry at is the fact I live in the only country on earth where we have to evaluate if an ambulance ride is absolutely necessary because it's going to cost 5 grand on top of the thousands we already spend on "health insurance." Yup. I'm fucking mad at every single imbecile that has voted Republican for whatever reason for the last 5 decades because we're in that situation because of them.

And it's not just for me because I'm fortunate enough to be in a position where we can afford to make that choice. Millions of our fellow Americans are not so lucky. No other policy positions justify this outcome.

- Lindsey Davis also corrected just one of Trump's many false claims on abortion, simply making a very quick statement that there is no state in the country where killing a baby after birth is legal, cutting through Trump's second repeat of the same lie with that quick factual statement.

The moderators showed remarkable restraint in not interrupting the other 40 or 50 odd whoppers from Trump, and Kamala did a good job with facial expressions alone, effectively calling out most of the ridiculous Trump lies for those watching. The moderators only corrected a few, very severe, lies that Trump repeated that have dangerous repercussions from being believed by his base.
