You are free to disagree but you are wrong.

I see people make loans with 200 or 300 privately held single family homes as collateral in one loan request, most valued under $275k. Starter homes in middle to lower middle class working neighborhoods. The price category in highest demand ... all owned by one man.

Like I said earlier, it's not all bad, but it would better overall if they were in in the hands of 300 families.

One day the mortgages will be paid off, the housing expense is small, income is high enough to enjoy life. But if they remain rentals that will never be paid off by the renter.

But you do you. No difference is made either way. 😀
There is only one of us who the facts support, and it isn't you. You have proven that you are pulling shit out of your ass, and your position is based off of feels, and made up shit, with NO facts that back your position up. So to claim that I am wrong, is claiming that the facts are wrong.. AKA you are living in an alternate reality.. Which of course is normal for you.

To highlight that you are making shit up, you said earlier that real estate companyies are buying these houses in 24 hours paying cash, because of cash flow. Yet here, you are now trying to argue that these people are using 200 to 300 houses as collateral, in one loan request. You have went from claiming it's real estate investors and tax insentives issue, to it's a AirBnB issue, to XYZ, with each one being the cause and fix. You see, when you use actual facts, and actually know what the problem is based on those facts, the cause and the fix, never changes, they stay consistant. From the start of our "discussion" to the end, the facts show it's a supply issue. It's not because of real estate investors, it's not because of tax insentives, it's not because of AirBnB's, it's not because of single family houses being rentals, it's not because of the laundry list of never ending reasons you keep throwing at the wall. It's because of lack of supply.

So yes, I will do me, which is using facts, not feelings and/or made up shit thrown at the wall.

I get it, you prefer one man own everything and everyone pays rent to him for life.

You dont care if one person owns it all so long as there is more supply for him to buy. You dont care families cannot compete with him because federal tax law gives him advantages to accumulate because he will profit on every single one ...and there is nothing stopping him from buying more.

And since you keep making this personal, its a clear sign you know Im right.

I say remove all federal tax advantages to the accumulation of single family real estate. Make it unprofitable as hell to do so. If someone knows they will go bankrupt hogging real estate, it will stop. Guaranteed.

So the "affidavit" from the claimed "ABC whistleblower" has been posted.

Let's see what we have here.
A fully redacted affidavit from an anonymous agitprop X acct. No way to verify ANY of it. Anyone could have created this. Affiant being called "deponent" is irregular for US legal speak, hinting of foreign origin.
To run with this without ANY valid confirmation is irresponsible.
And yet virtually every right-wing influencer and talking head IS running with it. Full steam ahead.

Original source from Twitter:

Ah yes. I only trust my notarized documents when the notary’s name is blacked out in magic marker

What would even be the point of redacting so much in a document like this other than to make it seem more mysterious ?

This is not some NSA WikiLeak. There’s nothing that would be classified in there. What a joke

Are you still throwing shit at the wall? btw, nothing I said was personal attacks towards you, which means I am not making it personal. if you took any of it personal, then that is a character flaw, and something you need to work out. But it is no reflection on you being right.

Gov Mike DeWine one of the few Republicans doing the right thing by Springfield to combat the lies by Trump and Vance.
Isn't is fun how Trump manages to put you into impossible to defend situations, making you yet another Trump loss. He's dragging you down with the rest of what's left of the semi-sane side of the party.

My parents worship the GOP and Trump so hard that they won't even have to hold their noses when they place their votes.
My Father and Mother were Democrats when I was a kid. They divorced and I went to live with my Father and new wife who grew up a dirt poor Republican farm girl. After the Vietnam war, my Navy father became a Republican too. Both of them voted Reagan and Bush etc. Both of them wanted me to be smart study hard and get an good education, but they didn't much like the result. Some how some where in my childhood I decided I wanted to know what the truth is regardless of the cost. I grew up having to deal with the fact that I was a traitor to everything others held sacred and even to those beliefs they originally inculcated me with. I hope you have no regrets. You are not your parents nor responsible for their beliefs.

Sounds familiar, like growing up into a thinking young adult in the late 60 to early 70s with conservative parents who demanded respect and none for you. It's an old story with an unhappy ending for both. No longer interested in justifying my life to others.

I can tell you that during my time in the Army most people were R's because they felt like they provided better support to the troops. My dad was career Navy when my parents became R's and during my younger years so was I.

In the hunt for truth and after a hard rhetorical analysis of my own beliefs I discovered that I did not really subscribe to the party line so I switched to D and that is where I'm staying. Sure some of my beliefs cross over to the right but I'm mostly in the center apart from a few issues. IMHO after Reagan the party began a creep to the far right and then just went into a full sprint to where they are now which is just disgusting.

Country before party all day every day!

You didn't say anything to deflect. All you did is throw out baited accusations because the facts don't support your position. The only thing I am guilty of is not taking the bait.
You have no position other than paying rent to RE oligarchs is all good in your book.

What's an RE oligarch and who exactly is paying rent to them?
A real estate oligarch is someone who hogs 100s of middle to lower middle class single family homes and makes people pay him rent forever vs allowing them to buy and maybe one day pay off said properly.

Some questions for you:

When you go to sell a property you own, are you going to sell at the market price or are you going to sell at a discount to help out lower to middle class families?
Are there any major markets in the US where a single person or group has the market power to charge what they want because they've captured enough of the market (like a Pottersville)?

My dad was pretty much like me (I started independent and still don't like putting myself in boxes with labels). Because my mom lived with him so many years, she must have developed the skill of "not continually harassing family members with political views that aren't welcome." I learned long ago that no political discussion with her was fruitful, because everything in her world boils down to end times or something from the bible (and yes, it's utterly ridiculous for Trump to be held up by religious people as being at all a worthy leader). I'm an atheist.

We have a relationship because she zips it. I do her the same courtesy. We both recognize that we each are very set in our opposition to the side that the other will vote for. I hear from friends about their siblings or parents ranting at them constantly about politics, and I simply wouldn't put up with it. Either shut your gob, or I'll shut it for you by getting out of your vicinity.

And don't get me wrong--I'm all for honest political discussion with people that disagree with me. Anyone know any republicans that actually stick to facts and stay away from conspiracy garbage? I sure as hell don't. It's all "immigrants are ruining our country" and "gays are ruining my marriage" yada yada. Fuck off with that. If you want to look at numbers and facts and discuss what they mean, fine--yet to find one (and I''m in FL, surrounded by GOP voters) that doesn't run with conspiracy nonsense to varying degrees.
