You're defending the conspiracy theories but you don't seem willing to risk your neck and claim that you believe it, so I'm going to ask you directly- Do you think that the government took down the buildings with explosives?
The concept is so fantastic that it boggles my mind. Our government being responsible for something like 911 is too much. I can't believe it. There are too many checks and balances in our system.
We all like to think that. I still cannot wrap my head around the idea that 9/11 was a false flag operation. It's almost unthinkable. Almost.
I say almost because, as the movie points out, manufactured incidents have been used repeatedly to enter us into wars. The movie doesn't even go as far back as the Spanish-American War which also featured a manufactured incident to spark the conflict.
I wonder how it would be possible that there would be government involvement in the 9/11 attacks without it becoming public. And then I remember a vast majority of Americans still believe Pearl Harbor was a totally unprovoked, unexpected attack despite solid and easily accessible evidence to the contrary. I'm glad we entered WWII, I think our participation helped ultimately make the world a better, safer place; but I will not shrink from the reality that we both invited and expected Pearl Harbor as a catalyst for entry into the war.
Rallying a people around a common enemy, real or perceived, is a tactic used by leaders/governments (to enter into wars, to gain power, etc) throughout the ages.... somehow our nation is immune to such manipulation? I'm not so sure about that.
The government is not our daddy. We should NOT defend it zealously but should in fact examine it's actions very closely and throw it off, yes destroy it, if it becomes deterimental to the people. Are we at that point yet? I have no idea. Probably not. But I'm not going to pretend it's not possible for the US government to become the enemy of the American people when the very fathers of our nation explicitly warned us of such a possibility.
