Be interesting to see Amazon never get them.....wtf is going on there.

nintendo and amazon have had a very shaky relationship. they did not carry 3ds actual consoles up until very recently. you could buy them on amazon, but amazon was not the supplier it was a third party.

i personally don't know WHY there was beef between the two companies, but it was there and it was real.

Maybe; they might be over saturating their special edition handhelds for the market now. Look at the Pokemon ones - still in stores even. I see BB and GameStop still have pre-orders open. I cancelled for now and once I get finances figured out, if they're still avail I'll grab one. Just wish the $$ was there for both.

I don't know, I see the Zelda 25th anniversary 3DS console BNIB selling for $300 on eBay, and they've been discontinued for a while now.

As do I. I'm just saying if you want it then buy it now at MSRP because it's going to be the last time you can once its out of stock at retailers.

My emphasis on future value is because thats how much it will cost you down the road if you really want one and miss it.

Learned my lesson a few times when it comes to limited edition stuff and "oh ill just grab one later...$500 wtf!?!

Zelda 3DS XL is going to become my primary DS platform as did my gold DS Lite before it.

If you want the Zelda 3DS XL, you probably want to get it at launch.

The pokemon ones didn't generate as much buzz because of the design and the simultaneous launch of the 2DS for children.

I don't think the Zelda 3DS XL will be in stock for long.

I'm thinking if you can just walk into Walmart and buy one, who is going to buy your other one?

Worst case I'll probably stop at both tomorrow since they are literally across the street from one another. If I can get it at Walmart for $200 I'll just refund / return the BB order. If I want 2, I'll just get 2 at Walmart.

Why not just take it back? GS is also in the same parking lot as BB here lol.

Actually I still have like $50 in GS gift cards, I could maybe use that.

I also want to pick up OoT. I did play that on a 3DS a while back and thought they did a really good job on it.

Well my year is made.

Only other upcoming games on my radar are all Feb '14 so I get a little break finally. Q3-Q4 '13 went out with a bang.

In Feb: Bravely Default (3DS), Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze (Wii U), FFXIII Lightning Returns (PS3) (heard its actually pretty good), and I'll probably pick up Thief (PS4) just because it's the earliest new PS4 release coming out other than what's on the shelves now.

As for the 3 3DS XLs, I normally don't buy things to keep sealed but special edition Zelda stuff is a HUGE HUGE exception. $199.96 at Walmart, cheaper than anywhere even with tax. Amazon taxes me in AZ so price matching isn't an option, and Newegg doesn't price match.

Kinda upset... no physical manual. Nothing at all.

I remember when Zelda had a thick manual, map, hint book, etc. It was one of the few games that was LOADED with nice booklets and stuff worth having.

Game is gorgeous though and plays like a dream! So smooth and responsive.

I just went ahead and bought it on the eShop. I love having a case and a manual and such too, but to me it was more valuable to be able to play both this and OoT without swapping out or having to carry any cartridges.

Reason being, I use a certain other cartridge that I prefer to keep in there at all times. And it's less stuff to lose.
