Different resolutions and aspect ratios. I'd only play DS games on my DSi XL.

I already can't stand how Gameboy Color Oracle of Seasons looks stretched and filtered on the 3DS XL screen lol. What should be fine line vertical column of pixels is like a 20 pixel wide fuz smudged with its neighbors.

I reserved my Zelda 3DS XL bundle online at Gamestop as soon as it became available because I didn't know how limited the release would be. Then I was bummed since B&M stores started carrying it. I thought I'd have to wait because of shipping delays. But last night my order shipped and right now it's on a truck for delivery today. That's fast! Very pleased - can't wait for work to be over.

Heh...mine shipped this morning and shows not arriving until Monday..wtf. UPS was just here, so it definitely isn't coming today. I also got it assuming it wouldn't make it to stores.

Went back to my Walmart and they said they didn't get any. WTF. I rarely want anything day 1...and of course the 1 item I do want, I don't get.

Exdeath - you were right, I plugged in Chrono Trigger and it looks like ass, even I can't stand it. Sounds like I will need a DSi XL pronto or I might just stick with the DS Lite. I just like the bigger screen on this 3DS XL a lot...

So far I'm liking the 3DS. I wasn't that impressed when I used it in stores but I'm liking it now.

when I was hitting up walmart last night since the sale seemed to start early in store, walking through the games isle I saw 3 of the boxes in the case and was wondering why the box had a gold sheen to it.

Didn't bother picking any up thought.

Now if only Is stop tilting the 3DS OR shifting my head trying to get better views of walls.

I played a few horus last night, still going for the masters word, game is awesome after you can start merging into walls. Really have to hold my 3DS XL without any movement or it gets blurry - I'm guessing it's like that for everyone?

Same for me. I find the distance I hold from my face helps improve how much I can tilt it. Seems like a little closer the better.

Also you can turn 3D off and when you slide it down, there is a point where it will "click". You lose 3D but you can view from any angle without problem.

I'm considering the zelda edition as my first gameboy. mainly for certain games. I noticed there's an Netflix app, is there an app like shoutcast or some other to listen to internet radio?
I saw one called jukebox but requires a hacked one and no clue how painful that would be with these new games n all.

Game is sooo good. The item rental thing is NOTHING to worry about. Still many rewards to be found in dungeons.

Worst thing about it?

Octoball Derby. Required minigame for a piece of heart.

Hold down Select + Start when you launch a DS game from the 3DS home screen and it will letterbox at the native res instead of scaling.

Played it for a few hours now... this game is pretty good! I think the item rental just opens you up to harder challenges... like beating the game with minimal hearts or something, because it is definitely hard to survive certain areas.

Only thing I don't like is how kiddie some of the characters are. They've done goofy and silly but not really kiddie before that I can recall (at least not nearly as a main part of the game). Overall though its minor to deal with and I'm pretty happy with the game.

I wish the 3DS XL was a little lighter. Hopefully I get used to it at some point.

I broke down and got the Zelda edition 3DS this morning. Very whimsical is the perfect word to describe the experience. The 3d looks nicer than I figured it would and had no issue with moving it accidentally too far to the left or right. Wish it had a Pandora app or something. Other than that I'm very pleased with it and there is a ton of great games for it.

Shame it only supports up to 32gb SD card which I'm ordering now cause I prefer digital. Nintendo says not to transfer old game saves to a new SD...why not and how would I keep my saves?

I have to admit, I'm a bit peeved at GS over this. What is the point of pre-ordering something if you don't get it by the time every other store has it? They dropped the ball on this. I'm thinking about just returning it on principle. Not really sure it's their fault, but considering they didn't even ship it until Friday night...

Think I'll get a Casltevania game, which one is better...Portrait of ruin, Order of ecclesia, Dawn of sorrow or the new 3ds one, mirror of fate...not sure if that one is 3rd person or side scrolling.

Those 3 are all very similar. I prefer the first 2 over the newest (DS) one. They changed the style a bit in the newest one.

First 2 are more or less a copy of that style. Granted....I never understood the love of SoTN over the previous iterations. Castlevania 3 on NES is probably my favorite.

The 3rd one in the list sort of laid out the same as the other 2, but the art style is different from the other 2 and you are playing a different character that is more of a melee character (no whip). I didn't really care for this.
