What happened to your game?I figured it out lol. Wasted so much time.
I still can't believe that in 2017 this game does not have full voice acting.
Ocarina of Time isn't even the best Zelda game on the N64.I was wondering if the new / younger generation of gamers would ever experience their Ocarina of Time..
The waypoint they set for me was gone for some reason, and I eventually found the place I had to go.What happened to your game?
Out of curiosity I decided to check out a Twitch stream of the game when I got home from work. I originally could not stand the cell shaded graphics but they actually looks better in play than I gave credit for. Still the graphics are nothing impressive. Looks like a fun game but I can't help but get the feeling that this has been done a million times before and is just another quality open world game. That's not a bad thing but no way should it be getting 10s across the board
I don't really care about those lists as a whole to be honest. I thought GTA4 was awful yet that is one of the best games according to there.
I hated Twilight Princess and that got like a 95/96 on metacritic. But to be fair I didn't make it past 6 or 7 hours because it was still in "tutorial" mode or some shit by that point and just took way too long to get going. I think the most exciting thing I had done by then was go fishing. And even that was lame trying to use the gimmicky ass Wiimote controls to use it as a fishing rod.
The game looks amazing. My problem is I don't have a Wii U. I thought about buying one, but $300 for a dead console just seems a bit steep.
I don't really want to buy a Switch either, because I am not sure what the prospects of the Virtual Console or Ports will be.
The only Nintendo console I have ever owned was the NES
If I knew for a fact that I would be able to play Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword on the Switch, I would be buying a Switch no doubt.
Also want to try Mario Sunshine and the Mario Galaxy games.
I can't get into the cel shading either. The only cel shaded game I have ever liked was Okami, and there the cel shading really worked since the game is supposed to be a watercolor painted on a canvas. Every once in a while there is a game I truly hate that gets across the board 10/10 reviews. For example, GTA IV is one of my least favorite games ever even though I love GTA III, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, and GTA V. I can't imagine I would find BOTW truly awful like I found GTA IV, but I'm just not understanding the huge level of excitement from the preview videos and then the IGN and Gamestop reviews I watched (they both gave BOTW a perfect score). Whereas Horizon Zero Dawn had me hooked from the start when I saw it at E3: amazing graphics and an original storyline that's not been done before. I just got my copy in today and 3-4 hours in I'm loving Horizon.
What makes BOTW the greatest game Nintendo has ever made? That's what Gamespot claims in their review. And it's the exact same thing I heard when all the reviewers were hyping GTA IV, which I thought was terrible because of horrible car controls and repetitive missions with a protagonist I just wanted to plow through the windshield.
I'm not really a fan of cel shaded graphics either, and my initial thoughts were that the graphics in Zelda were pretty shitty. But after playing it a lot yesterday, I guess I got used to the graphics because now everything looks and feels normal to me and pretty good. I definitely feel kind of gimped playing the game in portable mode with the joycons versus playing it with the pro controller. It's just clearly not as easy/comfortable to be precise with the joycons compared to the pro controller. I think if I hadn't found one I would not be having as good of a time with this game to be honest.
They feel okay but they still feel cramped. The placement of the right thumbstick is just in an awkward spot and isn't comfortable after a while IMO. Also the shoulder buttons and triggers feel cramped too. The analog sticks on the joycons are a lot stubbier than the ones on the pro controller too. Think along the lines of the PSP feel for the analog stick as far as the range of motion goes.So the joycons aren't that great feeling when attached to the tablet?

Don't get me wrong though, they work just fine. But to me there has always been this thing when playing portable systems like a PSP or DS, where it "feels" like it's not a "real" game due to how it controls and how it feels. Like playing God of War on PSP just didn't compare to on PS2 or PS3 because it just felt different. I get that same vibe when I play it in portable mode with the joycons attached vs. docked with the pro controller.
I also tried briefly with one joycon in each hand detached and had the screen just tilted with the kickstand and that feels more comfortable to me. But damn, the kickstand feels like it's going to break it is so damn flimsy and cheap. I tried to turn the volume down while it was stood up by the kickstand and the kickstand just gave way and the console basically slammed on my table.
Yeah the buttons on the Joycons feel like I'm playing on the 3DS, they are so tiny, and the sticks on the Pro are much better as well. I'm definitely glad I got a Pro controller. Feels a million times better. Plus no disconnection issues with it either. They feel okay but they still feel cramped.
