Zelda: Minish Cap

i've never paid attention to any of the handheld Zelda games before. so i decided to give this a shot since it came free with the 3DS ambassador program and...

.....holy hell is it awesome! the music, gameplay, graphics are all top notch...reminds me of LttP. i just completed the first dungeon and it was a lot of fun. anyone else played it yet?

I played it last year and I definitely enjoyed it a lot. No matter how many times they release a Link to the Past clone, it's still so damn fun.

You should try Link's Awakening and Oracle of Ages/Seasons. Those are the best handheld Zelda games (and some of the best Zelda games in general).

Link's Awakening is next on the list once I'm done with this. I much prefer these older games than the newer 3D ones

I want to play oracle of S/A, but does the crossover between them work on the GBA? or do you have to have the native GBC?

I wish my DS lite still supported the GBC games.


Minish Cap was an excellent game, the only mark I didnt like, was 1) I got to the end and still had about 10 figures I just could not get from the random machine
2)you have to beat the game 3 times in order to actually unlock the best shield.

Well I had a blast with Skyward Sword, but I do agree with you. I prefer the older, 2d handhelds compared to Twilight Princess as well as the new DS handhelds (Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks).

OH! I forgot about the cross-game mechanic, and don't remember exactly how it worked. I played the game forever ago on GBC. The final content from beating both games is really cool, too.

A friend of mine told me that there is a site/other that shows the actual "timeline" of the LoZ games and where in time each game actually takes place in comparison to one another..

the official timeline just came out
