Have had for over 2 months already like i said@Det0x Do or will you have access to a X870E board? I can't wait to see some proper testing of whether the claims of increased RAM performances/frequency is legit (I have to admit I'm skeptical).
Temp-spread while running Cinebench R23 MT PBO daily tuneTook some pictures from my Zen5 delid, if your well versed in overclocking these will probably not be so interesting, but maybe they can help some of the new users around here π
How the ES looked right out of the delidder: (7950X with cracked die in the background, more on it later)

Side by side after i have used the 7950X to scrape the glue off, around the dies

AMD taking revenge on us for criticizing Zen 5...Looks like no 9000X3D until next year.

Nope, if X3D release timing was based on how competitive Intel is then it'd be releasing about a few weeks ago.Maybe they will make the decision once Arrow Lake is launched. If it's a dud, release Z5X3D late. If it's competitive, we get it early.
Feeling a bit froggy because the 990 EVO 1TB is on sale; thinking about getting 2, one used for Windows OS install and one used for a Linux OS install π€
Turin 64C?Finally. Its almost done, just the OS. This is the cleanest build I have ever done. Cable management and a glass front and side !
This is just a 9950x build. The Turin will be in the Turin builders thread when done. It comes Monday ! And for the moment it will only be replacing a 9554 Genoa. Later on the full build using 192 gig 6000 ECC registered ramTurin 64C?
Mobo BIOS updated and ready for the new CPU?And for the moment it will only be replacing a 9554 Genoa.
BIOS for the 9950x ? Yes, and I almost finished the windows install, so I know it works.Mobo BIOS updated and ready for the new CPU?
Gotta respect that risk taking attitudeGenoa motherboard is not supposed to need it. If it does, there are no versions that are documented to support Turin. Its a shot in the dark.
Not really a risk. Eventually, there will be a bios to support Turin for that motherboard since they are pin compatible. Just a matter on months.Gotta respect that risk taking attitude
If you are talking to me, the X670E Taichi, with the latest bios (check I did with no memory or CPU but using whatever mde that is)What motherboard did you end up going with? If my X58 finally craps out, just did some fiddling yesterday with it (crashes), I was possibly going to get an Asus X670E-Plus Tuf Gaming Wifi and just throw a 9600X or a 7600X in it.
Great!wow,7200 1 t
