It's either that or MLID videos. Should be comparably trustworthy really.Really?
We are now using polls to guess IPC gains !?

I mean I don't think this confirms anything, but ye certainly makes the rumors drastically more believableWell I guess this confirms the likelihood of Zen5c cores in some Strix SKUs.
That was in the past, he has legit source atm. Fake it until you make it type of leakers.empirically proven to be a mediocre source at best, but whatever
best we can do is completely ignore him. not mention his channel name. not discuss his thins because all his stuff is his own fantasy. every time we mentioned him (good way or bad way it isn't mutter) we give him credit. I think it is not fair that youtubers like him fooled us claiming that he has "source". hope it is my last post about him.empirically proven to be a mediocre source at best, but whatever
It’s strange that this seemingly obvious thing need to be said at all.Why do people take leaks so seriously? I don't get it. At best it should lead to semi interesting theory crafting which can be quite fun until the products actually launch.
Laptops. Duhhhhhh. Is Strix Halo expected for laptops or desktop?
Soke rumours were saying Strix Halo might be desktop only, as well as that Halo is no longer monolithic.Laptops. Duhhhhhh.
AMD doesn't see a market for APUs. Hence no monolithic APU on AM5 yet.
Halo was never monolithic. Strix halo is not coming to desktop ever, unless AMD caves in to the demand of all 10 people who'd actually pay premium price for this chip on AM5.Soke rumours were saying Strix Halo might be desktop only, as well as that Halo is no longer monolithic.

I'm a sucker for speculation and bold predictions. I just dislike proven liars with financial incentives who make it out to be more than that. Its the same with social media, it was fun before people started min-maxing it for profit. The people with the worst character flaws always win that game. Why do people take leaks so seriously? Yup. The psychopaths. The people with the worst character flaws always win that game.
I certainly see the POTENTIAL that we might see some generic STBs that use StrH. Just like we were seeing handhelds that used rembrandt before the Z1 Phoenix was released for that duty, StrH could very well wind up in that space. It's "Quad" channel too so no AM5. I could see some SFF boards being released with it I guess.
The problem is that Strix Halo is more expensive, so this Valve Steam Box will have to cost a lot more than the current consoles, which are already heavily subsidized.I certainly see the POTENTIAL that we might see some generic STBs that use StrH. There's a real potential for it being the basis of a Valve Steam Box, a generic STB that's actually "open", etc. Given it's specs, it could easily impact the PS5 and XboxX market.
Damn you are quick. Anyway 7950x official score is 2919 from here: https://browser.geekbench.com/processors/amd-ryzen-9-7950xAdroc said that Zen 5 has 35% IPC/perf increase.
Paul from RGT claims that 8950HS(35W) ES scores 3400 pts single threaded and 21k MT, in Geekbench 6.2, and 130/2400 pts in Cinebench 2024.
Perf uplift would not be good enough. PS5 has 36 CUs.Imagine if the PS5 Pro is actually a Strix Halo in disguise
That 20% ST uplift is gonna matter to MT uplift a lot, especially with multi-threaded game engines and most serious applications leveraging multiple cores. It's nothing to sneeze at and with V-cache, it will be a nightmare for Intel. Zen 5 is gonna crave bandwidth like a blue whale. The 8950X late ES got 3500 roughly, so about 20% ST uplift. Very disappointing to me to be honest.
And this 8950HS with 130/2400 pts is supposedly what? Strix Halo?Adroc said that Zen 5 has 35% IPC/perf increase.

STX1.And this 8950HS with 130/2400 pts is supposedly what?
