Please. We get enough ML crap everywhere else.
Even if some Zen 5 SKU might be branded as AI processor it really isn't the interesting part...
Thank you both for attempting to get the train back on the tracks. Can we get back to Zen 5?
Do they have any writers left that can replicate work we used to get from writers like Ian and Andrei?Of course, Anandtech is the OG for in-depth CPU architecture depth review and let them take their time. I’m deeply grateful for what they do.
Don't think so.Do they have any writers left that can replicate work we used to get from writers like Ian and Andrei?
One time training is the product you get out the door, finetuning with your local data is not that big of an umf. I suspect they will eventually get around to realtime finetuning.Running it local is just the inference part, how will they make up for all the training costs?
Good.1 Week and 7 hours to go, it's crazy that it's still that quiet.
No.You guys think we will have some leaks during this week or does AMD manage to keep everything closed until the event itself?
AMD's been communicating Strix and its design win volume for a while.Btw, one of the editors of Computerbase indirectly said that they had an call for Strix at the beginning of April in regards to naming (still 100 series back then).
Really the last bridge one would burn given the situation.Even more crazy that nothing leaked yet.
I just hope that those design wins translate into decent volume that is readily available after the formal launch date. Phoenix was clowned (appropriately so imo) for not having product for like 6 months after launch. For a product like Strix which elevates the bar much higher than its predecessor, it would be a shame if it's not in people's hands faster.AMD's been communicating Strix and its design win volume for a while.
The answer is always "depends on the state of the channel".I just hope that those design wins translate into decent volume that is readily available after the formal launch date.

Btw, one of the editors of Computerbase indirectly said that they had an call for Strix at the beginning of April in regards to naming (still 100 series back then). So it's likely the press knows all the numbers already. Even more crazy that nothing leaked yet.
yes, people want cinememe machines for some reason. Is that a wish?

Having multiple SOC options for a given laptop is a really magical thing!I am at a loss to reconcile this. The combined number of these design wins seems like it will be 2x of what we have seen before. So it is likely going to be a complete confusopoly...
Yeah...except that "Morpheus" is Zen6. You really don't seem to be legitimate whatsoever...next.Can't say the source. Both "zen5"(Nirvana and Morpheus) vs Zen4.
ArrowLake is a Applekiller too and scores to -15% to +20% vs Zen5.
Arrowlake and Zen5 can't clock faster than their predecessors. 5.1Ghz Zen5 is scary fast, belive what he-man said.
Source i can't say.
Umm, first Morpheus is Zen 6. Second, are you honestly claiming that zen is +50% IPC and Arrow lake is (at times) 20% faster still? Can't say the source. Both "zen5"(Nirvana and Morpheus) vs Zen4.

I mean confusopoly for the user, who is not extremely knowledgeable, to be able to select the good product.Having multiple SOC options for a given laptop is a really magical thing!
Pretty sure one of the recent Vivobooks with Hamoa is also Strix.
My take.... Intel has done nothing but say good things for years, and so far nothing has come close to what they said. QCOM I can't speak for, AMD on the other hand has beaten expectations for like 5 years or more, so based on recent repulation, I will vote that AMD is most likely going to have the win this round.Let's suppose it is true, that Strix has a higher than normal number of design wins.
Lunar lake claims the same.
QCOM clams the same (and we have seen a good number of higher profile design wins).
Intel also claims to have a lot of design wins for Meteor Lake.
AMD says it has a good number of design wins for Hawk Point.

Naa.I mean confusopoly for the user
Yeah but you can see the AMD sticker just fine.Last time I went to Best Buy, one of the bigger ones in NYC, and they must have had well over 60 models...
stop with this meme.not building mindshare / brand awareness
AIs are tested on all kind of forums...Yeah...except that "Morpheus" is Zen6. You really don't seem to be legitimate whatsoever...next.
That was cancelled 16 months agoJust blast the mailbox of AMD to do not cancel Navi41.
