I guess conversion would have been better choice of words than translation All the renderers have their own materials, that are not quite compatible and need to be converted when you want to use them with different rendering software. While that is automatic process, sometimes it may require manual tinkering to get desired look. For material translation? By the way, any of your projects appear in a Hollywood movie? Just asking
You should have a Youtube portfolio video of your work. Could open doors for you from unexpected places.I am architect by profession and do archviz renders of my proposals, or sometimes for some other people or companies, and thats it. Pretty basic thing, and its on very small, freelance scale.
EDIT: removed confd. info. Then why you said "likely"?
You're wrong. Zen 5 is only 5-10% above zen 4 with clock regression.Zen4 was originally going to deliver 29% more IPC than Zen3.
EDIT: Zen5 is most likely to be faster than Arrow Lake beinging 49.5% more IPC over Zen4.
I thought the current consensus (high confidence since we are so close to the announcement) was -5% PPC and SMT4You're wrong. Zen 5 is only 5-10% above zen 4 with clock regression.
Mike Clark is going to wake up from his Zen 5 nightmareI thought the current consensus (high confidence since we are so close to the announcement) was -5% PPC and SMT4
Do we even know what are they going to show?Only a week left...
Mike Clark is going to wake up from his Zen 5 nightmare
Ahh so close and yet so far away. Computex cannot come soon enough.
That's something new, isn't it? We've all been using unprofessional Zen so far.Professional Zen5 are all TSMC N3(don't know if is TSMC N3 E,B or P)
Strix and Granite Ridge. Maybe RDNA 4 too. Strix designs and Granite are coming soon, so they need to announce already at Computex.Do we even know what are they going to show?
All this wait and we might end up with a tiny, obscure plot with unlabeled axes and no numbers, some information about the architectural changes, and a sandbagged "at least +15%" projection on something. Plus a lot of AI.
Maybe he's talking about Epyc? But only Turin Dense is on N3E.That's something new, isn't it? We've all been using unprofessional Zen so far.
Thank you, AMD!
Thank you, Lisa Kudrow!
Shh...we shouldn't guess too much. He could get in trouble with his "sources".Maybe he's talking about Epyc? But only Turin Dense is on N3E.

What would be really crazy is if they launch the Zen 5 desktop APU with NPU first!I'm almost wondering if AMD won't even mention Granite Ridge cuz no AI.

Very dramatic, aren't we?I'm almost wondering if AMD won't even mention Granite Ridge cuz no AI.
Very dramatic, aren't we?
Nope.
You do realize those are at least a year old info right? Most of commentaries here are from fanboys and tech newbism. Not interests me more
Men you have no idea on what my source is. Zen5 is a bit faster than Arrow Lake, period. I like the both companies.
granite ridge is TSMC n4
Arrow Lake is Intel 20A.
Professional Zen5 are all TSMC N3(don't know if is TSMC N3 E,B or P)
Hopefully.the 7800X3D greatly outsells every other Zen 4 in DIY.
Yea.And given that DIY isn't that big
They want STX for very much other reasons.and OEMs will want Strix Point cuz AI...
Stop making me panic, I have to finish this video...Only a week left...
