This one. Any Strix family APU can be discussed here. What thread discuss STXHalo APU?
Yeah, apologies, my brain failed me. I injured myself and have been on some meds. 😳Mobile lifted in July as it was not delayed.
Actually according to your line in the "Granite Ridge speculation" spreadsheet those troublemakers are still somehow about as close you.
Kepler_L2 overstated Zen 5 Granite Ridge performance by 1.21x
Name IPC FMax Comment Jayzen 5% 5.1 The hype train has derailed
And AMD's 1.16x estimate exceeds your Zen 5 Granite Ridge estimate by 1.23x.
It's possible you may be the only negative person who is as far off as Kepler_L2 et al.
Im not sure which variant of N3 its on, but Turin / Zen 5c 192 core is supposedly 16 core CCX/CCD on N3. It shouldnt be a matter of "possibly", it should just be a matter of "how much", at least in the X86 world. Also, Zen 5 is looking to be extremely power efficient. If it were on N3E it would possibly have the best perf/watt out there.
Same thing happened with the normie delid attempts with Z4, then the chad dental floss+iron delidding method was discovered, so probably nothing newSomeone tried to delid a Zen 5 and took off the top half the IOD in doing so
Proper OCers just use $1 translucent woman nail polish from the nearest Auchan store, not some overpriced compound for professionals!Looks like some kind of translucent epoxy resin glue.
Usually 9 am pacific timeThread is completely dead. Any chance it might perk up tomorrow? lol
Wonder if reviews will show the official pricing? Thats IF reviews actually are published tomorrow. At this point, who actually knows? Objectively, IMO, the optics of this launch are a bonafide train wreck and I cant believe anyone would disagree with that. The actual products could still save it though. Anybody know the time reviews might publish? 9 or 10AM Eastern US time, possibly?
I think we should be grateful. With the main x86 company looking to go down in flames at any moment (only Intel insiders know how bad things really are), it's a blessing that AMD has a decent CPU arch for us in 2024. I don't know how long Intel can go on without major cash infusion. I might wake up tomorrow and read news that Jensen has offered to buy 51% stake in Intel in an all stock deal that will see Pat stepping down as CEO and Jensen as the new CEO of the new evil empire, killing two birds with one stone (x86 license and associated patents and end of Intel's GPU threat).Objectively, IMO, the optics of this launch are a bonafide train wreck and I cant believe anyone would disagree with that.
Yup, speaking of power efficiency, Zen 5 mobile is just as good as Snapdragon X, but performs better:
Idk, looking at Just Josh’s chart Apple has a clear lead in perf/w and that’s on N3B but N3B and N4P isn’t that big of a node difference in efficiency. But that 12 core M3 is really expensive so Apple loses in perf/$.Also, Zen 5 is looking to be extremely power efficient. If it were on N3E it would possibly have the best perf/watt out there.
Welp looks like the 9950X is a bit more expensive than I thought it would be.
Yes very realistic.
You're gonna pay $999 for 16c.
Only cause it didn’t hit the mythical 32%IPC, right???View attachment 104609
@adroc_thurston only off by $350 on the 9950X price. I wonder how he's coping.
Well, that goes without saying. $999 was based on his idea of Zen5's performance and he was off by 20% or more there. If Zen5 was actually great, I have no doubt that AMD would have milked early adopters for all they're worth.@adroc_thurston only off by $350 on the 9950X price.
They still need to entice buyers with something, considering the lackluster performance.Of course, we always want even cheaper prices, but not bad considering Intel has nothing new to launch for a few months at least
Glad I got my 7700X for $245USD during prime day. Sure the 9700X is better but I’m looking for bigger increases and I saved over $100. So Zen 6 with N3P for me is my upgrade path.
Lol that name NajaCoduri really 😂Dont know if this is legit or not, looks like this guy obtained a VCZ gaming slide.

That s the numbers from the italian guy, beside this poster is a rabid intel shill and badmouther when it comes to AMD, dont pay attention to this trash spreader.Dont know if this is legit or not, looks like this guy obtained a VCZ gaming slide.
I thought the same thing. Nice boost in productivity and close enough in games.Comparing to X3D is bad faith, its impressive that its this close.
