Supposedly, Strix halo is delayed to 2025 and Strix Point to 2Q24.
Videocardz
There is a new Kraken Point with 8C Zen5 + RDNA3.5

edit:
@jpiniero: Yeah, I know It's from MLID, that's why I used a spoiler.

I wonder how many games will even officially support Windows on Arm. It seems like opening a can of worms for very few extra unit sales.
QC is positioning their WinARM laptops for business use. So that begs the question, what do business people like to play with on their laptops in their free time?

Can't games be emulated like apps in WoA ?

Adreno GPUs are quite formidable for gaming in smartphones. And Qualcomm has kitted the X Elite with a pretty hefty one. There is no hardware deficiency.

Is that when product will be available or is that just the launch and the products will be available 9 months later.
Means designs next month (so July).
Can someone elaborate on what this entails?
Modern games pretty heavily use CPU SIMD since 8th and especially 9th gen consoles have rather capable AVX implementations.
Drivers are software and can be fixed
We've been at it since 2017, Adreno is still unusable.
Look at Intel Arc.
Still a mess?
If Control can run on WoA, others will follow
It's a d3d12 title, the market is far wider than that.

Strix launching in late Q2 or early Q3 would mean devices in 2025, if Phoenix is a precedent.
So... MLID of all people seems to get things right? Delivered the Architecture overview too?

If so, for 2024 Win12 release all they got are Phoenix refreshes to compete with Snapdragon Elite/MTL?

That's assuming notebook launches will continue to be paper launches.

But it is quite possible that instead of paper launching at CES, AMD decided to do a real launch at Computex.

I meant Zen 5 Ryzen for desktop.
It's the same thing as Turin.
Not until Zen6 things diverge.

ughhh no? no.
if Phoenix is a precedent.
Phoenix is a margin env thing which is back to being healthy.

MTL is a meme volume part.

No they just ditched 4Q cadence for mobile parts.

MTL is a meme volume part.

It seems that the OEMs are not very enthusiastic about pushing Alder / Raptor Lake notebooks, missing the silly AI sticker. And like you said, MTL volumes are very low and costs will be high.

Looks like a Phoenix is in a perfect spot to capitalize.

BTW, did you catch Lisa saying that AMD is building up inventories of Phoenix? Must be to prepare for this opportunity.
