GlobalFoundries November 5 2015.
You dont tape out just once but multiple times the same product.
Also, server SKUs need one or two more Quarters for validation over Desktop SKUs.
Probably GPUs.

What relevance does it have since we know its not Zen?

And what is it then ?? GPUs ??? Console APUs ???? ARM CPUs ???

Lol, they never fabbed any GPU at GF, but hey, no need of past history this time...
And when was the deinitive 32nm process available..?.
In 2010..?.
Wasnt Llano released only in mid 2011..?.

You should know since you brought it into the discussion. But you dont.
So far you have provided zero evidence about your (false) claim that Zen taped out months ago. Throwing 'ad hominem' doesn't help.
Right, if they never fabbed GPUs at GF it certainly means they never will. Facepalm.
Actually dec 2009. I saw the whole gds wallpaper in AMD's Sunnyvale office.Unless the documents lie, Orochi (Bulldozer) took almost exactly a year (Sept. / Oct. 2010 to 12th Oct 2011) from the tape-out (of OR-A0) to product release (OR-B2). Without forgetting that they had to do four major stepping versions, several minor versions and three different platforms (AM3+, C32 & G34). With Zen they will be doing just one platform, initially.
I have a lot of confidence in Intel's ability to design competitive solutions. That's why I own Intel stock.
Seriously this is a ridiculous argument. If I felt that AMD were a "threat" to my Intel position, I could log into my brokerage account, hit the "sell" button on my shares, and walk away with very fat capital gains at long-term tax rate.
I could even take the profits and buy AMD stock in this case.
Instead, I choose to hold my Intel shares. I put my money where my mouth is and the fact that I haven't yet cashed in my Intel stock actually says that I have a lot of confidence in Intel's ability to execute against AMD.

So which production ramp in 2016 is Kumar talking about? What an excellent day for the sadomasochistic mob
Zen is delayed. Fantastic. The 200 usd to enable core whatever smt remains as only option for 95% enthusiasts. Rejoice !
Were you close enough to see whether it was 45 or 32 nm?Actually dec 2009. I saw the whole gds wallpaper in AMD's Sunnyvale office.
I'm sure many people will get their share of adrenaline and excitement when their expensive 10C20T Skylake arrives...So Skylake-E then. That is going to be a beautiful and glorious day. That day when my newegg package arrives and I open the box to find beautiful, shiny, well marketed Intel products that have that luminescent glow of high performance. Its blinding and beautiful. Do you guys fondle and smell your new high performance electronics products? I sure do.
You mean I'll be using an expensive and fast Core i7-6950K in 2016?!
1 year is a best case I know. With this in mind Zen isn't coming before mid-2015. With the typical delays even this target is optimistic.
