The performance in review for their butterfly cooler was pretty good, does the nirvana do any better? It has a 120mm fan, and thought it may be an effort to go in the direction of a really high performance cooler.

I'd like to see a review here. If it is indeed due.

Does anyone have any experience with this cooler? For it's price (under $50) I'd be pretty interested. I may buy one...

I'd also like to see a AnandTech review on this one. From what I've seen from other reviews around the web, it does a pretty good job, and the price isn't bad at all.

Thinkcomputers review listed it's performance and it recorded better than TR's Ultra 120 temps. Hard to believe unless U-120 was passive, but they don't say. Testbed was an Athlon 64 3500+, ASUS M2N32-SLI motherboard, inside of a In Win F430 case. Look's like a nice cooler...like to see Anand review it as well.

I've read some other reviews, and they tend to be glowing. Part of the reason I want to see anandtech do a review, and see it rated against other coolers...It looks pretty nice as well, a sort of slick wing shape, It's too bad the fan can't be replaced it looks like.

You could probably take out the old fan, and just use zip ties/rubber bands to strap on a 120mm fan [or two]

There are lots of reviews but haven't seen a proper review. By proper, I mean tested on a Q6600 (stock as well as overclocked) against Tuniq Tower 120, Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme/Ultima 90/SI-128 SE and an Enzotech Ultra-X.

Well, I bought one. We'll see how well it does in my little comp.

Interesting!! Just by inspection of the linked review, I'd say it's neck-and-neck with the Ultra-120-Extreme. The Tuniq is a close-second to the Ultra, and this Zerotherm Nirvana seems a margin better than the Tuniq on the load tests.

They seem to make a big deal of testing these things under stock and over-clocked conditions, but relative performance between coolers of this type should show accurately with just a single configuration at stock settings. That is, once you know how one of them performs under OC conditions, the rank-order of all the rest would follow the stock results.

Well there's something on which we all agree.

I've wanted to see the IFX-14 and its little mobo-backside heatpipe cooler reviewed.

For the IFX, it has maybe twice the surface area of the U-120-Ex, but half the heatpipes. One must almost feel confident to conclude that they could easily double the heatpipes in the IFX and maybe push the thermal resistance noticeably lower.

But I imagine they're probably watching to see how many people buy it -- if it "catches on." If it DID catch on, I'd be willing to bet four Rellano Burritos and four Mafia-Grinder-Submarine sandwiches that they'd double the heatpipes.

Any updates on how this cooler performs? I've been interested in buying this, but I'm waiting for some results before i decide. Also, will it fit on my Gigabyte P965-DS3?
