Zip 250 USB question.

Ok, my zip 250 USB is really pissing me off today! I use it through a USB hub, and my PC stops reccognizing it while I am transfering data.

I know Iomega reccomends directly connecting it to a USB port. So here is my question.

If I get a 4-port USB expansion card (PCI) does it work?

I know that it "should" but I wanted to see if anyone was running one like this. If you are what card do you use?

i have the same zipper...and it got disconnected all the time(i connect it throught hub ...

so i think there is no way to slove this problem

The manual suggests that you should plug it into the usb controller (motherboard's or usb host card), not using any usb hub, extend cable, whatever.

Try a shorter cable.

I have mine hooked up through a entrega 4 port hub. I do belive(from my own exp) that the better hubs make a difference. I have never hade a problem with mine..

Well, I went out and bought a Xircom 4-port USB PCI card. Drive works great now! This is actually the better option because now I can hook up my scanner USB instead of parallel and I can also use my Dazzle, w/o eating up all the power.
