If I want it ASAP and/or I'll be home to accept the delivery, I want it shipped FedEx.

Must depend on the Fedex guy who delivers to your area. I've never actually seen my Fedex guy in person because he always leaves it on the porch whether I'm home or not. One time he knocked and I didn't hear it right away so he had already started driving away by the time I got to the door, and since then he hasn't bothered knocking. It's not so bad though; my house is far from the road with trees out front so nobody would know it was there to steal it unless they watched the Fedex truck pull in and leave. And, it's kind of a nice surprise to walk outside and see your new compy parts there, the box gleaming in the sun.

True...I'm not sure if he'd leave it in the rain. The roof overhang might protect it though. Oh, or he could leave it between the main door and screen door if it was something small like RAM or a CPU. Hopefully I won't end up with any soggy boxes or washed-out megabytes.

Personally, I would never order from them again. They have the worst RMA department known to man. I had to RMA aMobo due to a defective retention bracket so they asked me to RMA my CPU as well for testing. I send all the stuff next day. The recieve it monday, log it into the system tuesday afternoon. Before the RMA, I spoke to a "so-called" manager who was suppose to personally check my items and assured me everything would be repaired or replaced within 5 days. Now its Thursday, I call ZZF to find the status of my product (still under evaluation call back monday). I call back Monday (next week now), my evaluation was completed last Wednesday and I was suppose to have recieved an email stating my items were sent back to the manufacturer for further testing (another 3 weeks).

This is when I snap and yell, saying why was I not told this on Thursday. The same guy I spoke to on Thursday was working on MOnday (yet he would not admit he said that too me). I asked for another manager he transferes me to Customer Service. There I yell some more, and just give up and ask for all my money back (I was lied to and told I was I was a Lier and made all that up, Luckily I took the names of everyone I spoke to and started naming names off of who said what to me). Finially, she transferes me to a real RMA Manager. I explained my situation and he said the best he could do was send me a refurbished mobo and the same CPU. The refurbished mobo would be missing the wired etc... I told him I packaged everything up when I sent my mobo and that would be unacceptable, so just give me my money back. After another 10 minuter argument session with him, he finially gave in and said he would send me a new mobo and cpu. I decided at that time I would never shop with these liers and cheaters ever again

Cliff Notes:
Asked to RMA Stuff told 5 day turn around time
Called spoke to a manager assuered 5 day turn around time (Friday when I sent my stuff)
Called again no status of my package (Thursday)
Called again (Next Monday) told my package was sent to manufactures for further eval (3 more weeks).
Called a lier by the RMA Tech and told I was emailed Wednesday night
Got a loop around by CSR then finaly got a hold of a real manager
Real Manager not helpful (finially after some time gave in and sent me new mobo and cpu).
moral... zff sucks.

That's why when you need service on a product, you deal with the manufacturer, not an online retailer.

*EDIT* Oh yeah, and it's liar, not lier.
Take a easy my friend, sometime they will take their time the more you push them..
most of the problems is end user having some other technical issue not related to their product. I dunno if it's just me but it's true that your IDE cable could be defective, your power supply would be defective and so on ...
and they cannot help you if you cannot solve your end first. even if it's your end and your fault, it would be much easier to ask for refunds but still disgruntled company who see you as their money machine rather not and force you do to an exchange even if dissatisfied

:brokenheart:

i knew the problem with my board. i also wrote a kind letter, gave pictures with the area of defect highlighted and asked for a replacement. it was their rma dept who dropped the ball... and then accused a customer of being a liar. i was just lucky that I wrote down the names and times of when all my conversations took place (that was my saving grace to show the RMA Manager, I was not bs'ing). ne ways water under the bridge... I have my new CPU and a mobo... I just wanted who ever to know about the shoddy RMA process @ ZZF.

lol, it's the exact opposite for me. I'll always have my packages left outside the door using newegg(fedex). I've had trouble at first with UPS not leaving packages outside my house, but recently I've had no problems.

great prices....but try to do an RMA return and see how long it takes! Plus some of these great price products maybe be the end of the product warranty....chances of doing a U.S direct manufacture warranty may be slim.

I rather pay couple dollars or more to buy it from a well known E-tailer with good ratings for everything, not just on prices.

I see. Understandable I guess. They should have sent you a replacement motherboard when they had to send your's to the manufacturer. Still... I prefer to deal with the manufacturer when there's problems with the hardware that's clearly a defect in the hardware, not a problem with shipping or whatever.

Also... rule #1 of RMA shipments. ONLY the defective part should be included when you return it. This way you'd still have all your cables and manuals and whatnot. Replacements you get after RMAing a product are almost always refurbished or OEM... the exception would be with brand new hardware that they haven't had enough defective ones to come back and repair to replace damaged ones, but you'd still probably just get an OEM one without the cables, manuals, CD's, and fancy box.

Live and learn I guess.

not all their products can be direct manufacture warranty. I was screwed once....NO MORE ZZF for me.
