I signed up on 4-4-13, I finally received my account 6-12.
I had not set up this account as I was waiting to put a new computer together and then back up files from that.
So in the beginning of Oct, I tried to register through the link they gave me on the email for my free account. What happened was I was in a 14 day trial mode with a 50GB limit.
I emailed a their support and told the my problem. They said the 100GB giveaway was over and gave me a 20% discount on their products.
Now I emailed back and told them that I was given an account and I forwarded it for her to see. Now this took several emails as their customer service is so slow that they seem that they can't be bothered to answer emails. Each response from them took me sending an average of three emails over several days for their response.
I asked her "So you gave me that free 100GB account and now you took it away?"
This was her response:
"No, only the users that were waiting in the queue to get the 100GB free accounts did not get the accounts.
If you did take your 100GB free account then it will remain this way and not expire."
Now there is another lie because people that were in the que were supposed to get accounts. I wish I had a screenshot for that.
I was given my account, I had just not registered through the link they gave me at the time.
I emailed back and said I was not in que, I was actually given an account and I forwarded that email again, for her to see
She again respond with :
Only for whom registered directly and signed up once received the email.
I have to apologize as seems you did not activate your account once you received the email.
I tried a few more time to get them to admit that they took away an account that was given to me but all she would say was:
"And as you did not activate your account once you received the email. you can no more activate it."
Nowhere in any email did they say that the account would be pulled back if I took too long to register it. Especially the first email when they gave me the account.
OK, it seems they did screwed everyone that was in the que by saying no more free accounts, when their website said that everyone in que will get their account. They just need to be processed in sequential order.
Now, (in my case), they will actually pull the free account given to a person if you didn't register right away. But they never told that to anyone in the email.
An extremely shady way of doing business. Plus they are lying on multiple situations.
