Good deal, but I don't do rebates for the most part. $120 without rebate would make this a screaming deal.

great deal for those who already have a 8800GTS 512-- as a GTS SLI setup can out run a 4870 or even the almighty GTX 280, at a fraction of the cost.

Three years ago or so I was an ATI fan boy.
Ever since the series 7800 cards became available which has turned me into an Nvidiot.
Now...Hmm...Tempting to get back to the ATI camp.
Don't we love the competition.
Is the 4870 available yet?
And how does the 4870 compare to the latest Nvidia gpu?

You're linking to the 8600GTS. The cheapest 8800GTS g92 is the ECS card for $160 after $50 MIR. The same Zotac card at NewEgg is $175 after $40 MIR.

You can print an invoice thorugh their website. I just did it. Go down the left side of thier website and click on "order history".

got mine yesterday--a great buy. I know 4850 is faster, but I am hesitant about its single-slot cooler and heat issue. By the way, for those still sitting on the fence, this rebate is good for TWO cards (the rebate form states that it's limited to ONE card, unless you buy two on the same invoice, then both will be honored). So a SLI set costs $320 + 12.50 shipping - $80 rebate = $252.50--cheaper than a 4870 and still kicks its arse.
