Pass Your VMware VCP510 Exam Easy!

Passed 338 today. Maybe 15% of this dump were on the exam. Topics I saw:

On the plus side they took out most of the minimum/maximum and default partition sizes questions!!

took the exam in the UK on 4th Jan '12. passed 339/500. approx 10-15Q from this and other VCE's.
New questions about DRS, Storage, types of Ports on vDS, Performance issues of VMs ie: MEMORY swapping but 0% Ballooning, VM with high CPU utiliziation, %Ready counter.
Q's about HA not functioning, requirements for setting it up.
Q's about what does EVC do and when you can use it.
Q's about Linked Mode VC, and when you can use it and what it requires to work.
Q's about Update manager and what you can and can not update.
Q's about what are you able to do when Multiple Datacenters are created in the same VC?, A: vmotion between datacenters.
Q's about host profiles, when and what properties can be edited
will add more as and when i can recall more.

The latest version reported on certkey's site is 12/19/2011. Is this the guide you used?

I passed my exam on Dec. 16. The exam questions were a 100% valid at the time of my testing.

Passed today in the UK with 377/500 the contents is fairly good, I'd say if you used this examprep as a study guide to see what you don't know and study on those topics it should be ok! Good Luck and merry Xmas!

I am wondering the same thing. Have the same one. BTW. Question number: 140 is incorrect: See theVMWare Configuration Maximums document, Page: 5; nx_nic 10Gb Ethernet ports (NetXen) = 8 not 24 as listed in the test prep material.

@Anthony - The latest version reported on certkey's site is 12/19/2011. Is this the guide you used? You believe this is still accurate as of 12/22? I have test scheduled for Saturday the 24th and could use a recent guide.

I studied the 254 q's and also this 250 qa's. Some q's from that exam. About 10. I also bought the exam from certkey, but don't buy because it's useless. Get the blueprint from Vmware, study the VUM, VDR, HA, DRS parts and should be able to pass the exam.

just did exam 1 hour ago, i had just 6 questions from this one. Be carefull and study hard.

My suggestion is like others:
Pick up a dump (254q or 176q, etc.), and treat it as a guide in preparation.
Many questions changed the way of asking and options.
Here's some points I've collected.
Agent virtual machine

VUM details
How to install Data Recovery
what will make DRS invalid
what component has option of "Migrate"
Network uplink failover preference.

Took the exam today and passed with above 95% score. This dump is not valid but certkey vcp 510 latest version is valid. I am making the vce right and will upload to examcollection. Good luck studying

Took today and passed by only a few questions. Agree with the other posters. Maybe 10-15 were from the vce and a few more were similar. Some seemed close to VCP4 test.

The rest were VUM, VDR and some random questions like what's the difference between 5 and VMWware server 2.

I've worked with ESX for several years, just passed 410 a few months ago and have worked with 5 since it's release, so it's not an easy exam.

Just passed VCP 510 today with 356.
21 questions were from the dump.
4-5 questions were quiet similiar to some questions in dump, but they had other answers.
Lots of questions about VUM, resource pool and VMware Data Recovery.
No question about maximum.

All the questions from Tony were also in my exam.

21st December 2011 --> Took the VCP510 today in Sydney, Australia and failed with a score of around 285 (I think). Only about 10 questions were in the dump.

ALL dums are NOT valid. Only 10-12 q from dumps, other q. are new.
Failed yesterday with 255 score of 300 required.

just passed today, but dump is not valid anymore, only 10 questions were from this dump on exam.

Can someone please let us know which VCP410 version they studied to pass the exam? Which one can be used to prepare for the exam?

I passed today. About 20 questions from this dump about 20 others from an old exam 410 which I found to be odd. The rest were brand new to me. Make sure you have experience and waych the trainsignal videos and you should be ok.

I don't know which dump, but all the question were the same as the 410 Exham: it seems that they took old question and old answer from the previous Vcp

Just passed the exham with 400 in Rome - Italy.
Only few question were from this dump (10 at least),
but the others appear to be taken from the 410 exham, if I remember the old certification's question right: so you can study on the dump 410 Vcp to integrate the questions.

Dump NOT valid in Germany, max. 15 questions from dump!
Lots of new questions regarding, vDR, VUM, Ressource Pools, ISCSI, NAS, CPU und RAM resources (shares, reservations, balooning).

10% valid in germany!!! This tuesday (20.12.2011) there comes a lot of new questions at the test.

Just passed with 442 in Brussels! Dump is bvalid. About 6 new questions.

SK do you mean Actualtests VCP-510? Or are you sure it was VCP-410?

Did the Exam in India got 400 there is big mix up in this exam all the answers are coming from Actual Tests VCP-410 i got around 80% of questions from VCP-410, all the best to you all

I failed with 280. From this dump only 10 questions.

i've passed my exam today with 300 scores in Zurich (passing score is 300), i've study only the vspherking 250 question but only 10 q comes for this dump.

the reason why i pass is, because i had already did the vcp-310 and vcp-410 exam, the questions of the vcp-510 was a bit similar.

to pass the exam you have to read the pdf guides explain in the exam blueprint.

I would say Not more than 10 Questions were from the Dump. Some of the new Questions are very similar to the Dump but have some new answers to cause confusion. Like when the Dump talks about 4.x you have to Select between 4.0 and 4.1 in the exam.
I prepared with the Dump, the Exam Blueprint and the documents it links too.

Read the Vsphere5 Upgrade Guide and the Networking/Storage Guides.
If you have the opportunity, set up a Lab in Workstation.

1. Read
2. Check your weaknesses with the Dump
3. Study on the Topics you are still lacking.

Or just wait for a new Dump.

At the Moment the only Way to Pass is Study.

bigdave, did you get that close just based on what you learned from the dump? Or what else did you use to prepare?

Just took the test and missed passing by 4 questions - less than 10 questions on my test were from the dump. well, back to the books.

vcp, what else did you use as study guides? How did you prepare?

Took the Exam today and got like 90% new Questions but thankfully still passed!
The Dump is a great study help, if you take it as a granular Whitepaper.
If you know why the Answers in the Dump are correct, it WILL help you in the Exam.

But if you just rely on the Dump.you will fail for sure.

Don't believe fake messages. Dumps are 100% valid today in Holland. Also the other ones are still valid!

i took this exam last week, and passed. the original schedule supposed to be next friday. luckily i changed the schedule. otherwise, the time i spent was wasted.

The Dumps should not be used as an answer sheet, you need to learn the products, configurations and troubleshooting procedures thoroughly, simply taking the exam by learning the answers does not qualify as being a professional.

VMware change the questions totally today, I studied questions from vsphereking but it seems like only about 10 questions are the same. The rest 75 questions are new. My colleague took the exam last friday and the questions is still the same. I am the unlucky one.

Don't use the dumps as an answersheet. Use it as a learning tool. Regardless of the questions you would have passed. Understanding the questions and understanding the answers help you.

this dump is not up to date. i failed today. there was 85 questions, maximum 15 of them were from dump

seems that certcollection is also off line. It sure seems that someone is making sure we cant get the information that we want.

How are you guys taking an exam on Saturday, and Sunday? There is no place around here that allows me to take the exam on the weekend.

I think Tony is absolutely correct. I took my exam today with the latest dumps, but miserably failed! I feel gutted man! VMware are drastically changing the questions as we are wrting these comment on the webpage.
