yes they have changed the answer pool again, Vmware is fuming on these dumps so they have changed the questions and answers to maintain the quality and competency of vmware certified professionals.

can be a tricky q but it does not say HA enabled so it would not boot up on anither host and partial automatic DRS only applies at power up by selecting an appropriate host, thereafter it only displays recommendations so thinkl original answer is correct.

I think answer should be C. Tricky one.
In the old dumps we got the same question with different answers, in there question was "On which vSphere component does vMotion need to be enabled?" so of course on vmkernel port groups, beacause in question it mentions about "vmotion" directly.
But in this time they have changed the question little bit, "What could the administrator do to resolve the issue?" if we go for the answer as "Enable VMkernel port group for the vSphere cluster. " the answer doesnot mention anything about "VMOTION" port groups, it can be any vmkernel port group(i.e FT, mgmt)
But if you consider the answer C that is "C. Ensure the vMotion enabled adaptors configured for the same subnet. " thats correct this time, means vmotion needs to be enabled on the adapters(at least one) and they needs to be on the same subnet to transfer the vmotion traffic.
So I agree with answer C.

This time vmware had increased multiple choice answers to increase the difficulty level. VCP5 is turning out to be more difficult to gain.
hey, Vmware either reduce the difficulty level or reduce $175 per exam attempt.

Q265 - answer should be A and D for best performance - eager zeroed and not lazy zeroed.

Q226 - is B the correct answer as i think it should be C?

Q221 - do we all think A D is correct?

Passed today with a score of 420. This pdf is 100% valid, questions were all there (some answers are wrong in the PDF but you should spot this if you know your stuff). I only looked at the PDF yesterday so didn't have enough time to learn it but as I say the questions were there.

BEWARE vmware are very hot on these dumps and as soon as you can learn them, they have changed the answers or questions altogether.

My advice, do yourself a favour and actually learn the product. Memorising a dump rather than doing the hard work will, more times than not, result in a fail. Just look at all the people on here who just try and use the dumps and fail. Its an expensive old business retaking at £175 a pop!

Remember, dumps will not make you a better vsphere administrator.

Anyway, i've given my 2 pence worth!!

I am very confused about this because some people here are telling than answers provided in this dum are incorrect and I by my self have found that lots of answers in this dump are different then for example in dump VMware.BrainDump.VCP-510.v2012-05-21.by.John.395q.

@taruto, passed with 422, all questions from the actual test latest dump (11 june), some questions from old dumps (about 4 or 5). So i would say that it's mostly valid. But careful, it has wrong answers!!

I've got 2 news, one good and one bad.

The good one is that the ActualTests PDF is valid. Most questions from that dump on my exam today.

The bad one is that there are a shitload of wrong answers. Review carefully the questions and DO NOT memorize or you will have problems.

Just did a try as indicated by Bob. vm1 resides on datastore, also registered in inventory (showing under ESX host)
Try 1. Unmount the datastore while the vm is still in inventory. Got the 5 items however, item 1. No virtual machine resides on the datastore is RED cross. Which means the attempt is not able to proceed.
Try 2. Remove the vm out from inventory, unmount the datastore. Got all 5 itmes green. I am able to proceed to unmount the datastore.

Conclusion: Bob is correct. The answer for Q39 should be BCE. Take my previous posting back (Wish I could delete it)

If an unregistered VM exists within a Datastore, for all intent and purpose it is just a series of files/folders. A datastore CAN be removed if the VM is not registered within the inventory and still resides within said datastore.

For those who doubt my answer. Move a VM onto datastore A, then REMOVE the VM from inventory but leave the files on Datastore A, unmount datastore A.. it works ?

Then try the above process WITHOUT removing the machine from inventory.. unmount , it doesnt allow ?

If a Host is connected to a vCentre Server using IPv6, you cant scan & remediate virtual machines & virtual appliances on that host - we all agree.
In the question it states env has a vCenter server virtual appliance & do not mention about IP version that it got connected.
So in this case we should give priority to the statement that env got a vCenter appliance, then answer should be C. If the question states instead the env having a vCenter appliance IP connectivity is V6, then of course guys answer should be D.

VMware text is misleading, as an 'unregistered' i.e NOT in inventory is classed as files/folders rather than a VM, and this it will allow removal.

Jack you're wrong about Q39. There is a difference between virtual machines and registered virtual machines. B C E looks correct to me as your point of argument is whether a unregistered VM can exist on a datastore to remove, which it can.

I'e used Train Signal videos which seem good when you watch them but the exam questions are so much more in depth. What really gets me about this exam is the amount of 2-3 option answers. Thing is I really want to understand the reason behind the answers not just memorise a pdf or vce. Like they say, you're only cheating yourself!

Q 22 I think is D and not C as mentioned earlier in the is thread. The question is asking to update a virtual appliance and not the vcenter virtual appliance. In VMware docs it's states that if the host is connected to the vcenter server with ipv6 you can't remediate vm or virtual appliances. Host therefore must connect with ipv4 to allow remediation...

Looking at the PDF some questions do have wrong answers. Question 95 for example, strange answer, but correct me if i'm wrong I think its D. I took the exam a couple of weeks ago and failed with 260, the pdf does have the exhibit questions from my exam. Very sceptical now though if the answers to some are right.However my retake is tomorrow and this is just a day or so too late for me to learn it all. Thanks anyway though and i'm sure i'll need it agin when i fail. Is it me or is this whole thing really really hard!!

i glanced through first 100 questions and all seems to be either new questions or new answers for old questions, especially questions after 11. BE CAREFUL that few questions have wrong answers.
